Location and the attension to detail

The staff are very helpful and friendly - and they seemed very happy too! Our room was very nice with all the facilities you'd expect, a lovely view, and a very comfy bed. The food served here is marvellous! I can heartily recommend this hotel!

Excellent staff, clean & newly decorated room, great breakfast.

The hotel was a good price, well situated in town , clean and friendly, room and bathroom were excellent , staff were very good and the fry up breakfast was fantastic, weel cooked and presented , when it was put in front of me I thought it wa a platter for two people, I am already planning another trip and will stay there again, fantastic value for money.

Having to preheat water in morning, had no hot water running through tap untill I'd finished washing.

We were surprised by the quality of this hotel. It is refurbished, and it shows. The staff are friendly yet highly professional, the food is better than the average, much better, and the whole experience was a real pleasure. An unexpected gem.

The service, environment, food and value of the Kirklands Hotel were all excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this smart family run hotel to anyone. My favourite thing about our stay was the personal touch provided by the owners and also the fact that every single member of staff was as friendly as they were professional. For example: - Our hosts knew who we were when we arrived - A box of chocolates and freshly cut flowers were in our room as the trip was a Christmas gift for my wife. - DVD player in room as requested when booking. - A specific bottle of wine, which my wife had had on a previous visit, was sought out and reserved for us. A lovely place and we look forward to visiting again as soon as we possibly can. Jason and Jillian

The food in the hotel was excellent,

As soon as we arrived we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The room we had was stylish and well equipped, and the meal we had was excellent quality and the service faultless. We were only staying for one night but I am sure we will stay there again. And the breakfast was great!

The owners and staff were really nice and friendly, and always wanted to help. The food was amazing. The hotel is nice and small which helped make it a nice and relaxing break.
