Staff was amazing, and you could tell they are re-investing in their facility with upgrades. Restaurant/bar was excellent, with good selection. Location. Way off the beaten path, and not many options if you wanted to get out of the hotel without driving 30+ miles.

The owners are really nice people, up for good chat. They were very helpful. Although it's a local pub, its very quiet. Rooms were very large and were clean and comfortable. Nothing

The room we stayed in was really nice and it had a lovely bathroom. It was great after a hard days sport to go downstairs into the pub for dinner and a few drinks. The staff were very friendly and so were the locals. We were really made to feel at home.

made very welcome by owner.Food was excellent for such a small place. Bed was the most comforable I have slept in. We may return some time in the summer My wife has a new knee and is not too agile. if you are not of the 'walking fraternity' it is a little remote.

The facilities were excellent give the size of the hotel. The family room we had was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. More space than you would get in a Premier Inn! Loved the fact that it was an old coach house, lots of character.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived tired and wet after a long hike but a hot bath followed by a pint in the bar next to a cosy fire soon revived the spirits. Our evening meal was very good and breakfast the next day set us up for the walk to Glenshee. Thanks to Chris, we had nice dry boots and jackets to start us on our way.

Fantastic location, lovely modern tasteful rooms, brilliant welcoming staff, lovely food. We booked to go to the enchanted forest and the hotel location, whilst 12 miles away, was in easy car distance of Pitlochry and out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the main town. The hotel staff were lovely and made us feel welcome straight away. The bar/dining room was warm and cosy with an open fire blazing away with comfy seating. The evening meal was cooked superbly and served in a separate dining room off the bar. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really good. We will be booking again next year. bed was 2 twins together, and although wa mainly comfortable - the edges were a bit hard in the middle

Friendly and obliging owner and staff. Quite spartan interior. There was no main hallway or real lounge. More like a pub with rooms or B&B rather than a hotel.

Friendly welcoming staff / owners. Very 'authentic' country pub with friendly locals. Slightly out of the way location but gorgeous river and woodland walks. About 20 minutes of winding country roads to Pitlochry.

A very comfortable village inn with large ensuite rooms. Staff were very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and perfect for walkers and cyclists. The roads to and from Pitlochry and Blairgowrie are a delight to drive, if you like country roads.

The Kirkmichael Hotel has a perfect location for the Glenshee Ski Centre. Danny & Chris were really friendly and helpful, as were the locals and 'Chef', they offered advice when needed and were happy to check the weather and road closure details (road closes up to the ski resort in heavy snow fall but is normally open quickly after the snow ploughs have been through!). The room was really spacious, clean, comfortable and warm with a great view of the rushing river below - we would definitely return again on our next ski-ing trip.
