The Strathardle Inn is a beautiful little hotel set in glorious Perthshire landscape. Good home-cooked food sourced locally, fine ales and a roaring fire, what more could you want?
Score from 83 reviews Very good
In the middle of the wild wooded hills of Perthshire on the shores of Loch Faskally is the Green Park Hotel.

The bedroom was fine.
Table not properly set up at either dinner or breakfast. No salad and barely any veg with steak. Asked for mustard that was never brought. Breakfast - No sugar available until asked for nor butter which was brought in its box and put on a sideplate in front of us. Layout of table both for dinner and breakfast could have looked a lot nicer with alittle effort. Although the staff were pleasant it was clear that none of them had any training in the catering business.
The staff were friendly and did their best. The room was clean. The food was good
The outside of the hotel wasn't impressive and there was a lot of junk round the back of the building. Note-you cant check in until 5pm which is very inconvenient. We arrived at 4.30 and the whole place was locked up and we had to wait in the car. We wouldn't have minded if our room wasn't available-but to not be able to access the building at all was unacceptable we thought. Another couple was also waiting in the car park to check in with us-and they had driven all the way up from London and were very tired. Obviously if you have driven a long way you don't know exactly when you will arrive so not to be able to access the building at all until 5pm is very unhelpful. The staff, although friendly and trying their best seemed totally inexperienced. Although our room was clean and large, the window rattled in the wind which kept us awake until we wedged it with a piece of cardboard.
The food was out of this world. Such warm and welcoming staff.
Very friendly staff, comfortable, spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast.
King size bed Spacious bedroom
Owners not exactly friendly Bedroom sash windows in poor condition-could not be opened Hotel situated right on road-some traffic noise at night No fruit offered for breakfast
Very clean and comfortable room. Good food and friendly owners.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast, well cooked, plus a good tea menu. Lovely quiet location.
The personal touch nothing was too much trouble

The bed was comfortable, the owners attentive and friendly, the food was great and we ate all our meals at the hotel.
Very friendly owners who made us very welcome.

Room was great - comfortable and clean.
Friendly staff, good food and drinks.
No lift for disabled or downstairs rooms
Pleasant friendly owners. Great food and they let us have an event with geocaching friends.
There was a mix up with my food order which meant I didnt get it until much later. They did apologise and gave me a discount so all was well.
Couple who ran hotel went out of their way to make us welcome. Provided an early breakfast for those competing in the Etape. Beautiful location.
Very good friendly staff, looks after us well.
The staff and room were what would expect.
The dining facilities were a little shabby and there didn't seem to be a dedicated hotel lounge (that didn't seem to be a pool area for the pub use) £80 a night for a double room a little high for this hotel.
very friendly owners and staff and extremely good dinner. well cooked and beautifully presented. large bedroom w very comfortable bed. quiet despite room facing road.
bar area a little basic.
Loved the spacious bathroom with a bath! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly, genuinely interested in where we're from with lots of helpful advice about touring in the area. The cooked breakfast was delicious with vegetarian options. We enjoyed the remoteness of the location and exploring the little village of Kirkmichael.
Good sized room Comfortable Good food Would go back
The toaster! Cremated two lots of toast before I got the thing to work!
Helpfyl interested staff. Good breakfast. Nicely decorated room.
Very welcoming and friendly couple running the show in smooth teamwork. No nonsense landlord supported by the lady of the house bringing a subtle warm touch to the place. Home feeling, idyllic environment. Good food, both diner and breakfast. All in all perfect value for money. A place to return to!
Large comfortable room.
