Gorgeous setting with lovely, hospitable hosts. The inn is very warm, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect time to interact with other interesting quests. It is a nice 15 minute drive to St. Andrews. We stay in B and B's frequently, and Kirkland Barns is among the best we have experienced!

This is really a home away from home with a lovely spacious bedroom, comfortable sitting room and elegant dining room all at the disposal of guests. The hosts were the best we have met in our year of travelling and our fellow guests were extremely pleasant to spend time with. A most enjoyable experience.

I found the staff extremely friendly and would do anything to make the stay more comfortable,the room was spacious and warm,the breakfast was adequate.

Great location close to both St Andrews and Dundee. The B&B is set in among rolling fields and beautiful countryside. Lovely traditional stone building with plenty of original features. Warm and inviting interior. Modernised shower room. Great hosts who are very welcoming and helpful

We had a nice room. It was very nice to have a sitting room for the guests which was set up very comfortably. We enjoyed being in the countryside and going for a nice walk. They reserved dinner for us about 2 miles away and we enjoyed our meal in a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was well done. We would stay here again & would not hesitate to recommend them.

We weren't aware that you couldn't check in until 5pm. This is a little late when you are travelling.

Kirkton Barns was just delightful. We totally enjoyed the country view and the accomodations were excellent. Breakfast delicious.

This B and B was absolutely perfect for our Scotland Anniversary Get away. The room was wonderful, the home looked like it came out of a storybook, and the host was exceptional. We loved every minute here!

This is a gorgeous country house built in 1826. Our huge bedroom had views into the garden and fields.The manager is very knowledgable, efficient and friendly. You will need a car as it is in the counrtyside, but is therefore lovely and quiet. Highly recommend to anyone other than those wanting to party.

Quiet country location near St Andrews few minutes from Tayport which has shops for snacks and a couple of pubs to eat at. many great golf courses very close by ,rooms are large with very good showers and you have a down stairs lounge room for travellers . The breakfast is excellent and the hosts are top shelf a really good place to stay .Happy to stay there when we return .

Only the one thing ,same at every place in England no fridge in the rooms .

The beds were very firm and it was placed very close to the wall so that having two people in the bed was difficult if you needed to get up in the night.

The family made us feel very welcome and our stay was peaceful and restful.Good breakfast to start the day and we were able to come back at any time during the day. Would recommend.

Kirkton Barns is an outstanding B&B: a fabulous Victorian country house with the interior you would expect from such a building, situated in the lovely hills around St. Andrews. The owner is very friendly and cooks a great breakfast (we loved the poached eggs, black pudding, and smoked salmon).

Het huis is landelijk gelegen (absolute stilte); het is ruim en heeft mooie kamers. Wij werden zeer goed ontvangen en kregen veel hulp bij het samenstellen van ons programma. (Wandelen, Culturele bezoeken enz.). De gastheer is zeer vriendelijk en duidelijk begaan met de gasten. Het ontbijt was uitstekend, met hele lekkere koffie, een lekkere verse vruchtensalade en een ruim aanbod aan spijzen. Booking.com had niet doorgegeven dat wij met een kindje van 1 jaar kwamen, maar dat was geen probleem. We waren graag nog enkele nachten gebleven! Als het donker is moet je wel goed opletten om de slag naar de b&b niet te missen. Bij het buitenrijden van Tayport is het nog ongeveer 1 km rijden en dan moet je rechts.

Eigenlijk niets. Hier en daar lag wat stof in de kamer, maar dat stoorde ons niet.

Prachtig oud landhuis met zeer Britse inrichting en zeer ruime accomodatie. Prettige ontspannen sfeer.

De douche was een erg simpele bak met veel lawaai. Maar wel te doen verder.
