Location is a little tricky to find
Location, friendliness of host and value for money. Food was excellent and room very comfortable. I arrived later than expected but host left a note and useful clear instructions.
nothing really - only stayed one night so minimal exposure or use of facilities. what I did use were very good.
What a great place and an excellent host. Ross honestly can't do enough for you. We were sorry we were only staying one night. Even the animals are friendly.
E-mail Ross for directions after you book.
Walking out in morning into the hens. Setting. Bedroom very comfortable welcome and home made bread.
The property is absolutely beautiful and and the family that run the place were extremely welcoming and professional. The room was immaculate and breakfast delicious. The location was ideal as I was taking part in a local sporting event. It was really nice to be able to come back to a place which was so relaxing. Loved every minute of the stay. I'll definitely be back before the end of the year.
This is an isolated home on 500 acres. You will need your email the owners for detailed directions. The nearest shop is 10 minutes away. Only one pub for dinner 2 miles away. Great breakfast. Very quiet.
Spending 90 minutes trying to find the place.
Tranquillity entertaining host
Small tv that's because i needed to wear glasses!!
Everything, especially the welcome and Ross s kind hospitality. What a character and excellent chef.
Absolutely spectacular! What a superb location and the farm house and grounds - 500 acres! - absolutely beautiful. Super home made breakfast and wonderful host! A must stay if in the area!
Fishing available on river Quiet
mediocre TV and cabling arrangement
Ross and Diane Appleyard, the owners, were wonderful hosts, full of energy and enthusiasm for their property. You felt totally relaxed and were free to wander round the grounds at will. The room was clean, comfortable with a touch of luxury. Breakfast was great with homemade jams and bread and eggs that couldn't be fresher. We stayed an extra night because we loved it at Kirnan.
Our hosts could not have been more hospitable and friendly. We felt immediately at home. Quaint bedrooms. Comfy beds and pillows. A hearty breakfast. If you're looking for a place to escape the noise and truly relax then Kirnan House is an ideal location. Excellent.
We truly enjoyed walking the property looking at the various plants and landscaping. The trees size and the moss growing on them were spellbinding. We have seen nothing like it. We will certainly recommend your B & B should any of friends decide to visit Scotland. In fact in terms of accommodation, locale, and friendliness of the people it was our favourite B & B.
The building and surroundings are beautiful. It's a stunning location, with gardens and wildlife all around. The house was very cosy and the room was extremely comfortable. The hosts provided such a warm welcome, which was really lovely as I was travelling alone and they made me feel at home. The room was spotless with lovely soft fresh-smelling sheets. They provide fresh milk, tea and coffee and a little chocolate treat which is a nice touch. Philip the dog was extremely charming also!
A stronger wifi signal would have been good, but there is nothing I would criticise about Kirnan House. It is really a great place and I hope to return with my partner for a longer stay on my own time (not working).
A very friendly welcome. A lovely secluded location. At night there is total silence, no road noise, no city noise, nothing!!
This is the best place to enjoy one of the most beautyful coutryside in Scotland. Ross is the best host ever abd his breakfast was delicious. Our little daughter had good time enjoying the animals of the farm. Thank you so much Ross, we really like to be there again. Annalisa Giorgio and little Giorgia
Little difficult to find out the place. Be sure to have a good printed map before go there.
I stayed here with my mum for 3 nights. Ross was extremely welcoming and friendly, told us where all the best eateries etc were. We found lots of inquisitive animals whilst having a walk around the estate on our first evening! Wonderful breakfasts with some ingredients fresh from the estate. The beautiful countryside of the Knapdale forest is less than 15 minutes drive away.
The warm welcome by the dog called Philip, followed by a friendly hi hello by Ross the owner of the Kirnan House. The beautiful scenery of the estate. The beautiful walking tracks. A well equipped room.
Lovely peaceful surroundings, beautiful gardens, plenty of wildlife, excellent breakfast, friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced. It 's all good.
You do need a car, if that's a downside
Very pleasent welcome from Ross on arrival where he took the time to show us around some of the grounds and to our lovely room. We mentioned we'd be leaving before breakfast so he made sure we had breakfast to wake up to in our fridge! As a couple into wildlife and me especially with an interest in birds of prey we had 500 acres to explore. Ross explained Golden Eagles had been seen up on the hill, and the best route to take. We got to the top and as I watched a group of deer disappear over the ridge up circled a pair of Golden Eagles it was perfect! The local pub for supper we were recommended was lovely and the locals very friendly pointing us in the right direction for the Knapdale beavers. We didn't see them but we did see an otter! Just a shame we didn't have time for the ospreys!
We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the house and gardens. We were entertained most hospitably by Ross and Diana and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was well-appointed overlooking the garden and had a jacuzzi bath. Would be a good base for touring along the west coast and islands. Would definitely stay again and have recommended it to friends. Kirnan House is conveniently located for visiting Inverary Castle and the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.
Lovely out of the way large house set in 600 acres. Very peaceful; nice room with en-suite facilities, and a good, firm, bed. Breakfast was very good and the hosts attentive and jovial.
Ross was an excellent cook and host. Comfort and relaxation in a calm environment.
Great location, felt very removed from everything but close to nearby town for food options Ross and his wife very friendly Working farm with friendly and tame animals
Nothing, would stay again
The bed. The breakfast. The ambience and hospitality
The unavoidable peaty water
