Staff were all fiendly and helpful. On a good bus route. Rooms were nice and warm but not too hot. The pool was fantastic!!!

The location was ideal for visiting York, the bus service into York is at least every fifteen minutes and takes about 5 minutes to get to Mickelgate where we got off. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel had history and character and the room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was served at your table and was good.

the place itself handy for the buses into the city and the hotel was suberb the staff were very helpful and polite.

Very poor value - £89 for very small tired and dated bedroom which was first offered to us, we turned it down so they offered us an attic room with slope ceiling which was a such little better which we accepted as there were no other choice.

As a mature couple with walking sticks they looked after us very well . The breakfast was great and plenty of it we realy enjoyed our stay.

The chef has to one of the best around, his food is 10/10 one of the best meals we've had on this trip to the uk, the hotel is comfortable as well and the staff very friendly and helpful.

A very good choice and well cooked breakfast. A good position for catching buses into York. Excellent location with parks for nice walks.

The food was amazing. Hospitality and friendliness of staff. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel is situated within walking distance to York city centre and yet far enough away to have peace and quiet.

Shower wasn't that powerful and hot water ran out quickly before I had finished.

Everything was superb, stayed for one night for partner and i's anniversary. Good value for money, staff very helpful, and polite. Room clean, great views. Breakfast lovely, great choice. All in all great place.
