Staff friendly Location
Gym a little tired
the staff were very friendly and welcoming. the older part of the Castle was charming ,the pool and surrounding gardens were lovely The food was also very good
the new wing bedrooms did not do justice to the old world quality of the original building The black decor in the bathroom was not appealing
From the outside it looks very pretty. The lobby and reception are quite attractive. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We were in the more modern rooms in the hotel. The room felt cheap and had ceiling tiles you would expect in a hospital or a school, not an expensive hotel. The ensuite had the same horrible ceiling tiles. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was mediocre. I wouldn't mind if we had paid very little but the room was £150 and I would expect a lot more for this price!
Pool, jacuzzi, sauna
Rude staff, dirty room, view of garbage and construction materials from room, run down hotel, breakfast was absolutely horrible -- eggs watery, bacon not cooked, have stayed in nicer placers for £20
The staff are friendly and attentive. Room was beautiful and comfortable. The building itself has loads of character. It's an all round great place and if you treat your other half to one of the suites, I'm sure they'll be impressed.
There wasn't much really wrong with this hotel. But maybe the spa could provide more to drink than just water. Coffee and/or juices. But that's me trying to find a negative about this place.
every thing about this hotel was great, from the staff ,food, location, and spa
there were a lot of people with dogs staying and a few had them in the bar lounge area where they tended to bark and whine at other dogs which was a little off putting, but no other complaints at all
Really enjoyed our stay, nice pool, sauna & steam room & well equipped gym overlooking amazing countryside. Very clean. Breakfast in rooftop restaurant was excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Jacuzzi bath in Lady Macbrayne room wonderful! Would liked to have used cinema room but ran out of time - would definately come back.
executive room slightly disappointing as quite small & had no view which was why we upgraded
Staff rapport and genuiness. Still enjoying it as I extended my stay
There was no dissapointment.
Suit Room style and bed
No receptionist on when checking in. No one explained the after 11pm door entry procedure. Being locked out at 12:30pm No 24hr room service after 7pm.
Brilliant place to be if you want to escape the world. Totally chilled out with friendly staff and i cant begin to describe how amazing the food was.
Very comfortable room with a brilliant view. Food was excellent
It was too hidden :-). Hard to find
Coffee at breakfast
small room for a single person
Attentive staff and gorgeous rooms. Food was well prepared and all service was delivered with a smile.
I loved this hotel and is now in my top 3 in the country. I hope I get to go back to the area some time so that I can use it again. Food was superb as was the locally distilled heather gin. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Leisure facilities were great. I had a castle room in the attic which was a bit unusual but this added to the charm of the place.
They had some very strange ornaments around the bar and restaurant. Some were obviously broken, including the base of the vase on my table which was being propped up by the salt and pepper pots.
The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Also the food was of a very high standard. We would congratulate the chef who was very keen to accommodate all the customers desires.
very disappointed with room allocated on our 1st night - very small room also scaffolding spoiled any view we might have had. Ventilation was poor as it had been a hot day and the room was very warm and rather noisy! We did complain that day but unfortunately no rooms available till next day when we did get a delightful upgrade which was excellent.
Room was lovely with a fantastic bath situated in a little turret. Roof top restaurant. Very nice swimming pool. Ambience.
Excellent large room (though bathroom small) Pleasant, attentive staff Lift. Good views from room.
Steep dilapidated stone steps to reception on arrival.
We had a two night stay at the Knockcastle Hotel & Spa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate in the roof top restaurant which had beautiful views over Crieff and the staff were fantastic. Food wonderful, location was great for us as it is nestled away on it's own. Lovely walks, the Stuart crystal outlet us a short walk away, a beautiful park to sit and relax in, in the town.. beautiful gardens in the grounds if the hotel to dit and chill in too. Spa girls were wonderful and the leisure fascilities were super.
Staff were ALL superb. Friendly but not intrusive. What a gem!!!
The dining area upstairs did not have the same luxurious ambience as the rest of the hotel. It has a fantastic outlook and could be more "plush". Having said that can't fault the service or standard of food.
Pleasant location. Staff pleasant. Cleanliness good
Something definitely lacking though. Think it's what would make me want to come back. Bar and restaurant upstairs dismal and felt like canteen. Spa most assuredly underwhelming. Needs upgrading.
tuley exceptional staff, very friendly, polite and always happy to help. food was faultless with probably the best white chocolate fondent i have ever eaten.
biulding work going on outside. just my opinion but could do with a freshen up (with room rate in mind) but still a very pleasurable stay.
Welcoming atmosphere with interested and attentive staff.
We would have used the gym but it was closed.
We have stayed there before & were disappointed - first of all we were put in the lodge which was 230yards away from the main hotel. Staff not very efficient. Put us ina single room in the main house and charge £198 per night b&b - we pay less in London. Will go to the Hydro next time..
