Not a lot
Everything was excellent clean friendly staff pool food everything the best place I have stayed at very good value for money have recommended it to friends already
Nothing to fault
It was a fun place, I was the only person there. staff was friendly, thanks for the upgrade, the single room was a bit claustrophobic. I would stay again.
The canned music......please turn it down, don't have it everywhere, and program some nice tunes....the selection was computer generated rubbish! ( also, the table cloths are so long in the dining room, that they tangle up in your feet)
location, breakfast and some members of staff
for the price of the room I'd expect a toothbrush and toothpaste. and when I asked if they had any available, not to be told to go to the supermarket down the road. I've had better service in travel lodges. room was "deluxe" but some old furniture does not make it so.
Atmosphere, Original features, gardens mountain views, swimming pool and sauna. food
Residents bar area was small and only attended on demand by receptionist. No sky television.
The Pool area was very good.
The room was pokey. The bar was in a cupboard. The furniture in the lounge was worn and the room itself grim. The breakfast was a disgrace. This is one of the most overpriced hotels I have come across.
The roaring fire in the hall. The food in the restaurant was freshly cooked and hot and an excellent selection to choose from.
The sitting room with the piano was all wrong. A fireplace with a wood fire would have made it more comfortable.
Charming room. Restaurant staff very good, food excellent.
We did not feel that Knock Castle quite achieved what it advertised, certainly not 'elegant luxury'. On arrival we had to insist very firmly on being given the room we had booked rather than something inferior. There seemed to be a shortage of staff.
Food was very good
Pool changing dirty and room had broken window latch and bulbs out in bathroom . Invaded in the "quiet" dining room by 23 women on a hen night .... vloud couldnt hold a conversation ended up eating rest of meal in our room
Some of the staff were amazing spa area was nice
some of the staff hadnt a clue Bill calculations were a mess
Jason has worked hard and made this a wonderful relaxing hotel. Staff really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing and the lounge extremely comfortable. Spa treatments fabulous.
Bedroom slightly small but extremely clean.
We booked a 3 day break at short notice to recuperate after a series of difficult family events. We booked a Deluxe Castle room but were placed in a suite which was very welcome. The suite was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and we slept well. The en-suite bathroom was beautifully well -appointed with a jacuzzi bath which was very relaxing. We were staying on a half board basis and the meals in the Stag's View restaurant were excellent, with a good (if confusing!) mix and match choice across 4 menus. The dinner portions were not huge (fine for me) and I told my husband these are the portion sizes he should be eating! We explored the grounds but did not use the pool or the spa facilities. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, recharged our batteries, and will visit again.
everything was exceptional
Friendly staff, good food
Car park and grounds adjacent to main entrance scruffy and in need of a good bit of TLC. Tired old rooms need updating
Views location , food
Needs a refurb , unclean , pool area shabby
The quality of services. The restaurant is quite fancy and classy.
The bathroom wasn't as good as the room, it look like a lil' bit cheaper than the rest of the room.
Staff friendly Location
Gym a little tired
the staff were very friendly and welcoming. the older part of the Castle was charming ,the pool and surrounding gardens were lovely The food was also very good
the new wing bedrooms did not do justice to the old world quality of the original building The black decor in the bathroom was not appealing
From the outside it looks very pretty. The lobby and reception are quite attractive. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We were in the more modern rooms in the hotel. The room felt cheap and had ceiling tiles you would expect in a hospital or a school, not an expensive hotel. The ensuite had the same horrible ceiling tiles. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was mediocre. I wouldn't mind if we had paid very little but the room was £150 and I would expect a lot more for this price!
Pool, jacuzzi, sauna
Rude staff, dirty room, view of garbage and construction materials from room, run down hotel, breakfast was absolutely horrible -- eggs watery, bacon not cooked, have stayed in nicer placers for £20
The staff are friendly and attentive. Room was beautiful and comfortable. The building itself has loads of character. It's an all round great place and if you treat your other half to one of the suites, I'm sure they'll be impressed.
There wasn't much really wrong with this hotel. But maybe the spa could provide more to drink than just water. Coffee and/or juices. But that's me trying to find a negative about this place.
every thing about this hotel was great, from the staff ,food, location, and spa
there were a lot of people with dogs staying and a few had them in the bar lounge area where they tended to bark and whine at other dogs which was a little off putting, but no other complaints at all
Really enjoyed our stay, nice pool, sauna & steam room & well equipped gym overlooking amazing countryside. Very clean. Breakfast in rooftop restaurant was excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Jacuzzi bath in Lady Macbrayne room wonderful! Would liked to have used cinema room but ran out of time - would definately come back.
executive room slightly disappointing as quite small & had no view which was why we upgraded
Staff rapport and genuiness. Still enjoying it as I extended my stay
There was no dissapointment.
