The position was lovely the food was fabulous the staff were great very expensive We changed rooms as the first had no view over the loch this is not explained properly the other room was great but much more expensive

We felt very welcomed as the staff were friendly and appeared genuinely interested in us and the reasons for our stay - Laura, in particular, could not do enough for us. The view from our room was beautiful and enhanced the already comfortable ambience. The food was absolutely stunning - fillet steak will never taste as good elsewhere! The service was excellent, timely and unobtrusive.

The bathroom and shower rooms were a little chilly but this did not take away the overall feeling of satisfaction with the beautiful surroundings.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is a beautiful building and the rooms spectacular. Great bar with views over the loch, lovely terrace (it was bright and sunny whilst we were there) and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Very peaceful location and a great part of Scotland.

The awkward layout downstairs which meant my room was only accessible by walking through the often busy lounge. Information folder in room seemed out of date.

Staff were outstanding! Very polite and helpful. The food was also amazing especially the pigeon for starters.

We stayed one night for a short get away. The location is beautiful, although may be a little hard to find without a sat nav. The hotel and staff are lovely and the food was outstanding, if a little pricey for the breakfast anyway. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for a weekend getaway and it would be an idyllic setting for weddings etc.

Pillows were a bit hard and high. One was too low and two was too high, so we both ended up with sore necks! Breakfast was beautiful, but £15 for a fry up is a little expensive.

A beautifully refurbished very comfortable hotel. Wonderfully comfortable lounge with log fire and quality furnishings. excellent food and well equipped bedrooms Very attentive and accommodating staff. Cannot criticise in any way.

Location was beautiful but difficult to go anywhere on foot.

The Knockderry Country House is well positioned, you are within driving distance for lots of tourist attractions and plenty of things to see and do. The staff and food were excellent, we did have a few problems but they were so apologetic made every effort to rectify the problems you cannot be disappointed. If you like character and old style properties this place has lots of it, truly amazing rooms and woodwork, it is family owned and run so you are well greeted and treated. We visited in November and therefore witnessed some interesting weather conditions, we are looking to return in the summer and spend more time to enjoy this wonderful location.

My only comment would be to inform potential visitors that breakfast is not included with your stay and whilst you have choices the cost is either £15.00 or £8.50. It was excellent food and could not criticise this in anyway but for all the years I have travelled around the world and stayed in a lot of varied establishments I have never had to pay this amount for breakfast. I searched their website from back to front in every page and there is NO MENTION of breakfast or it's costs.

The Hotel was in a beautiful setting and well signposted. The Welcome was great and the facilities were amazing. We had a wonderful even though we arrived at close of service. It was also nice to see the proprietors so actively involved. I would so recommend this for a one night stay or even a week.... Thanks to all who made our visit special

It is a lovely comfortable hotel with a good outlook .The food was excellent and it was all very relaxing.Staff were friendly and not overly fussy.In the room everything had been thought about.

Would have had a room with a view but we got the last room and were not informed you could not see out the window by this website which is pretty poor and we were charged full prince by the booking site. Next time we will book direct and make sure we get a room with a view!There are some lovely rooms .

The staff went the extra mile to ensure that you really felt welcome.

The hotel was pretty....

But the room was not to standard and I'm still waiting for the hotel manager to ring me regarding my complaint. I was told I would receive a call. Not impressed.

Pet friendly

The food was excellent and the staff were very very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother for them. The hotel is a lovely old country residence, however it maybe a bit quiet for some people.

We were in what they called "the wee double" bedroom and it was a bit small, would not want to be in the room for a week.

Everything was more than perfect, very nice and friendly, very clean, excellent dinner, everything very well

Only the breakfast was a little bit poor

Had a very warm welcome, The room was fantastic, The weather was not on our side but the lounge and restaurant facilities provided the perfect relaxing haven that it didn't matter.

The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming . The hotel is very clean and comfortable nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is breathtaking and sits on the shore of Loch Long .We were sad to leave and will go back in the near future . Would recommend it .
