Lovely breakfast and warm welcome, Local pub had excellent food and a short stroll. The family room looked lovely.
The tv was too small for the room, so not able to see well from the bed and obstructed by the bed post...The noise from the adjoining room with a baby crying, then giggling and chatting from the large family suite made a trying nights sleep. Room 5 the four poster room, was not as comfortable as some others looked.
Our room was in the converted barn. no window only a skylight that didn't open. Breakfast was in edible, so greasy and undercooked. no wif fi in room.
Friendly , clean service
Local pub down road lacked atmosphere and very quiet but found a very nice pub a short drive away , great atmosphere and food .
Very well kept small hotel, really friendly and helpful staff, room was clean and tidy! Had a great nights sleep, would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area or have a retreat to the countryside!
Only criticism is they were obviously having issues with the hot water and couldn't have a shower.
Loved the location, and a great pub close by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable, and breakfast great.
Nothing to dislike
Either the people in the next room watching the Reading festival till the early hours or the rumoured party in the woods.without this all was perfect.
Just about everything
Lack of hot water when showering
Friendly and helpful staffs. Delicious Food! Comfortable place! Clean everywhere.
Very quiet and ideal for a romantic, restful break. Amenities are very close and lots of activities are available in all directions
Relaxed approach by staff yet not un-attentive
Lovely rural views and quiet
Door to our room old and shabby with low headroom and a hazard. Basic furniture with mismatched carpet. Patio Tarmac worn and uneven with dirty coffee table not cleared for three days. Planters around property unattractive with weeds. Largely self-serve breakfast with milk in plastic shop containers and butter in a box in fridge with make your own toast, although cooked breakfast ok and served. Paying nearly £120 per room per night this was definitely not value for money.
Very comfortable accommodation. Good bed, spacious bathroom. Choice of foods very good.
Very salty salmon in the scrambled egg
Relaxfull, peaceful and pleasant staff
A real home from home. Staff, especially Sam, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Loved the location which feels very peaceful & the features in the room with comfy four poster bed. Cooked breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely wish to stay again if coming back to this area.
Nothing that did not like
I really liked much everything, especially the extremely comfortable bed.The only thing missing was some hand cream. Breakfast was excellent.
The peaceful and beautiful rural location was like balm to the soul as this picturesque, spacious Edwardian farmhouse in its well-kept grounds provides both the right touch of comfort in its furnishings and an unexpectedly excellent bed for sound sleep. The delicious, cooked-to-order breakfast also offered much choice. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding pretty villages, towns and countryside of the south west, and we were spoilt for choice by good pubs, cafes and restaurants.
We disliked very little about our stay, but felt two improvements would make the room even better. Firstly, an additional chair (there was only one provided in a double room) and, secondly, an extra luggage rack as we had several suitcases and bags, most of which had to be on the floor.
Superb stay at this lovely B&B. Staff very friendly and helpful, room was very clean & comfy. Breakfast was excellent!
Outstanding breakfast, Comfortable bed, superb waterfall shower, friendly hosts, lots of "extras" of shortbread biscuits, mineral water, herbal tea as well as the usual tea and coffee in our room.. and fresh milk available from the nearby fridge
Setting of the B&B was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. The standard of the accommodation was good, we were certainly not disappointed. Overall, this is a great find.
Setting Breakfasts - not for dieters Convenient for all attractions in the area. Rooms - house and impressive courtyard
Finishing touches need completed.
Very pleasant stay
Had a lovely reception from Sam on arrival....all family and staff were great.....went that extra mile...nothing was too much trouble...great setting...great food....
Very warm welcome. Excellent services, breakfast and facilities. One of the best places we have stayed.
love the setting, great breakfast, good value, home from home, helpful staff who go the extra mile!
Peaceful setting. Pleasant welcome. Excellent breakfast.
A little noise between rooms in the outside block, but perhaps this was a particularly noisy child! Otherwise very peaceful.
