Good room, excellent breakfast and super-helpful staff.
The bathroom was a little tired but good shower, lots of hot water and quickly filling bath.
Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.
Squeaky and not so comfortable bed. Room a little cool till the heating came on.
The location, so handy to services but country feel. Very tasty menu, nice spacious dining room, pleasant staff
It would have been nice to have had some fruit with continental breakfast
The Hotel was good with friendly staff, breakfast was better on the Monday than Sunday.
The bed was an uncomfortable double.
Wifi in room out of range Bathroom old Shower head broken mattress dipped in middle and way too soft Curtains fell down in dining room whilSt eating breakfast
Staff friendly and helpful
Food was mediocre
Excellent for cleanliness. Couldn't fault it . Very helpful, kind head receptionist, and staff in general Very handy proximity for my stay, immediate to motorway but noise no issue at all. Trees outside bedroom window! :-) Gave me suite for quiet room due to my health Great value for money Comfy, large bed in a nice, large room. I would happily stay in that room again :-)
The shower wouldn't stay up on its own, BUT the bath was lovely.. Continental breakfast..wasn't . Woken by cleaner(?) removing things from cupboard opposite (I think that's what it sounded like and someone else, but that wasn't hotels fault.
All good bar the bed
Bed very uncomfortable
Rooms was nothing like the pics on website . They was old fashioned ... Dusty .... And reLly was false advertisement
Good food and enjoyable
The staff were friendly
The hotel is in need of major refurbishment. The floorboards squeak, noise can be heard from floors above. The shower had a broken valve so it was difficult to change the temperature. The bathroom extract fan on/off switch was above the bathroom door so if you are short it would be difficult to switch on/off, also the fan was extremely noisy.
Food, dinner and breakfast.
Rooms noisy with creaking floors and doors + front of hotel faces A1, more noise.
Good location, staff were very pleasant and friendly. Room was a good size as was the bathroom.
Bit overpriced for the standard of the room. Our bath was split on the outside edge, the shower was a bit of a trickle and the shower rail looked like it could collapse at some point.
From themoment we walked in we were made very welcome by top rate staff
Location is a little out from anywhere but the staff and views and food make up for that.
The location and the ability to have a walk in the area; its proximity to Wentbridge House hotel which has a lovely restaurant; they fixed a light problem quickly.
Bed was too soft; staff welcome was poor and reception was not always manned; there was no orange juice at breakfast!
the location and staff
swiching off Wi-Fi at night
Food was very good...room very good
Shower was worse than useless...walls very thin..you can hear everything that goes on next door.
The staff at The Kyte were accommodating in allowing for me to check into my room earlier than 2pm on the basis that I had a wedding that I needed to get ready for. Helped to take out a bit of stress for the day!.
Very clean and welcoming
The shower was very poor in our room
Great room with friendly staff
Only down side it was noisy late on due to a wedding that had taken place that day but the staff were very apologetic in the morning
the location, the staff were very friendly
the floors were very noisy at every step, and the bed sounded as though it had a squadron of mice, i did sleep quite well but my wife did not due to an argument in the early hours from other guests
The location is quiet and east access to the major sightseeing sites. Dinner is big portion so three can share two meals. dining area is good. Staffs are friendly.
The standard service is inconsistent in general, unlike chain hotel, it seems run as home fashions, you get what they have. We have coffee table but no chairs, so it stands near the door as litter table; shower is like drizzle, they explained as this is not power shower, it is really simple all they need is to use a normal shower head. The housekeeper left door unlocked after cleaning. The good thing is we take all valuable with us !! Breakfast is poor. no ham in continental breakfast only toast and quesant. One day you get fresh tomato and another day you get tin tomato in your English breakfast, no tea bag provided unless you ask for. You order breakfast at breakfast table everyday, but at the last day we have no breakfast, as the staff told us, 'you don't get breakfast' unless you don't order the night before! Suggesting go to the nearest motorway service to get your breakfast. Beware to check you final bill as they get wrong at the first time. Overall we waste so much time to sort things out by ourself because you cannot rely on the staffs as it looked like each staff has he/her own way to run this hotel and they all have reasons for things is not working. They are friendly but helpful.
the location friendliness of the staff (and very helpful)
Room was small & did not provide a table or chairs which meant we had to sit on the bed when watching the TV or drinking tes/coffee
