The owners were very accomodating and a plesure to talk to.The location was ideal for the town and castle as it was for the beach and to the north the moors were in easy reach for walkers. A very peacefull location despite it being so close to the beach. The bathroom was a bit small but seeing as it's a renovated Victorian house as a whole it was ok. |

I liked the attention to details e.g. a folded towel on the bed with 2 chocolates on it. I also thought that the couple who ran the hotel were extremely welcoming and the food was delicious. Wonderful central location, especially if you know you're way around the back streets. Shower could do with upgrading. |

Very friendly, efficient & professional family run hotel. Breakfasts excellent; very good and reasonably priced evening meals; great location; very good value. Superior room and excellent sea-view well worth paying the small amount extra for. Bathroom in our room was a little tatty, but by the time you read this it will have been refurbished (scheduled for w/c 30 Nov 2009). |

Very friendly welcome. A good location and our room was comfortable with Tea/Coffee/Biscuits a hair dryer and plenty of storage space. It also had a safe which is a nice touch and had a very good sea view. Great breakfasts & a well stocked bar where guests were made to feel very much at home. We had an excellent experience and Tony and Elaine were perfect hosts. We would highly recommend La Baia |

lovely welcome.....staff /owners very friendly...........lovely view from our room (no.7) although it was a bit small, but fine for a night or two........great breakfast, good choices on offer............good location as it was only a short hop to the town, harbour and beaches. nothing really..........our shower was a bit claustrophobic! |

The owners are wonderful. As a single parent with a 7 yr old boy you never quite know what kind of reception you are going to get. At La Baia all of our needs were catered for with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Its location is also an enormous bonus. The views are spectacular. Would definately book again. We went out of season so parking was not a problem. Not sure how much of a problem finding a space would be in the summer. |

Both my wife and I booked at last minute and found the staff very friendly and helpful.I would more than happily recommend this hotel and will visit again gladly the next time we stay in Scarborough. The only problem we came across was the parking even though cost was very reasonable it is hard to find a space. |
