La Barbarie Hotel

This was our second visit to the hotel in recent years.My wife and i travelled with our daughter and son-in-law.It is very well run and has efficient staff and offers very good value for money in a quiet location .The hotel is not too large and that suited us perfectly.

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Lovely restaurant with superb food. Heated swimming pool in the garden. Peaceful location with a bus stop outside the hotel.

I stayed in a one bed apartment and thought it was excellent. The hotel itself was charming and well placed for costal walks.

Hotel staff were very helpful and everything was kept clean and tidy. Food was very good too. A good base for a holiday. Would go back.

If I had to mention anything it would be that the decor is slightly outdated but the fact that it is all kept clean is more important!

Beautiful setting and quaint building

most of the waiting staff were cold and unwelcoming in manner in the dining room. But reception staff were lovely. The male waiter was also lovely. Room was a bit noisy in the mornings when cleaners started cleaning vacated rooms & hoovering 7.30ish.

The choice and quality of food was excellent! also the Management & staff were all very friendly.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut mit dem Bus erreichbar, der Mietwagen war überflüssig und stand nur rum. Zumal die Straßen eh so schmal sind, dass das Fahren streckenweise nach dem Motto 2 Schritt vor, 1 zurück funktioniert. Da es zum Klippenwanderweg nur wenige Schritte sind, steht ad-hoc Wanderungen nichts im Weg. Das Essen ist vorzüglich, der Service perfekt.

Die unglaublich freundliche Atmosphäre in dem liebevoll gepflegten Haus, die excellente Küche und ein sagenhaft freundlicher besorgter Chef. Ich fand es so herrlich, dass er sich um uns sorgte und uns anrief, da wir am Anreisetag nicht eintrafen.

Die Buchungspauschale von 50 engl. Pfund pro Person, die bei Rücktritt nicht erstattungsfähig ist und die restriktiven Stornobedingungen. Ist aber auch irgendwie verständlich. Hier sollte man evtl. von Bookcom eine Reisekostenrücktritts-Versicherung mit anbieten. Ist aber schwer, da wir Hobbypiloten sind und aufs Wetter angewiesen sind.
