La Barbarie Hotel

The service was outstanding, the best I have had in a UK hotel in 50 years.

Small friendly hotel in good location, close to town centre, beaches, cliff walks, airport.Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

We found the reception staff welcoming and helpful. The restaurant staff were very polite but friendly, and the meals were excellently cooked and presented. In the self-catering apartment the provision of an oven as well as the microwave was much appreciated. The rooms were spotless and in fine decorative condition. The hotel is attractive and in a very good location, being within easy reach of St Peter Port by car, with a bus stop just on the corner, and very close to the excellent scenery of the South Coast.

Unfortunately we suffered from the very close and noisy moving on gravel and emptying of large dustbins at about 5.30am on most mornings.

This was our second visit to the hotel in recent years.My wife and i travelled with our daughter and son-in-law.It is very well run and has efficient staff and offers very good value for money in a quiet location .The hotel is not too large and that suited us perfectly.

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Lovely restaurant with superb food. Heated swimming pool in the garden. Peaceful location with a bus stop outside the hotel.

Superschone appartementen, prettige prijzen, veel parkeerruimte voor de deur, om de hoek van schitterende wandelmogelijkheden aan de zuidkust.

Waterdruk is erg laag, de douche druppelt meer dan dat het water stroomt (volgens het hotel ligt het aan de overheid, ze melden dit ook netjes). Het bed had een flinke kuil in het midden.

Wir hatten das Appartment für 2 Personen gebucht. Das Appartment war nett, geräumig, sauber, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet, allerdings direkt zum Hotelparkplatz gelegen, aber trotzdem ruhig. Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen in einem Labyrinth von Heckenwegen. Mit dem Auto schwierig zu finden. Ideal aber ist die Linienbusanbindung und sehr gut die Nähe zum Küstenwanderweg (nur 10 Minuten). Sehr gute Küche.

L'accueil et le service sont la caractéristique essentielle de cet hôtel, qui nous ont permit d'apprécier l'hôtel et sa gastronomie (diner et petit déjeuner). Nous étions an appartement qui est très bien aménagé.

L'insonorisation vers l'extérieur est parfaite, entre les appartements moyenne. Propreté bonne sans plus. Dans l'ensemble donc quand même satisfait.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service, sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Restaurant. Gute gepflegte Gartenanlage mit Möglichkeiten zum Relaxen.

L'accueil est remarquable, à la fois bon enfant, attentif et de grande qualité. La propreté irréprochable avec en plus une restauration de bon niveau. Séjour bien agréable.

La qualite du service (personnel accueillant, disponible, à l'écoute) , cuisine de bonne facture - propreté des locaux.

Ce qui m'a la plus dérangé, c'est le manque de pression d'eau dans la salle de bains (il faudrait le signaler aux personnes qui effectuent des reservations dans cet hôtel)
