good location near beach and only 10 min walk to town, friendly staff , excellent breakfast, spotless.
a little old fashioned but quaint.
Everything perfect. Breakfast lovely. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff very nice.
Peaceful area, very good breakfast. Helpful host.
Staff we're extremely friendly and made every effort to make our stay a pleasent expierience. The breakfast was well presented but choice was limited. Our room was serviced daily to a high standard..
Our room was on the top floor and with no air conditioning the atmosphere was quite humid. Having a window open at night did not help as the room faced onto the street with resulting traffic noise .
The guest house was very pretty and the room was excellent with everything you might need. The cleanliness of the room was great and in particular the happy and friendly staff at breakfast. The choice of breakfast was excellent
I loved the four poster bed but unfortunately for me the mattress was rather soft.
Toilet would not flush properly and shower head would not stay upright
Near to the beach on a quiet road.Straightforward walk into town, approx. 12 mins. Good shop opposite with reasonable prices. Evening meal at Metropole Hotel, just up the road, recommended visit!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Left alone to enjoy the facilities. Lovely lounge to relax in.
Bathroom a little on the small side.
Cleanliness excellent. Location excellent. Breakfast excellent .great stay
Bathroom a little small but manageable
the room/ breakfast/staff friendliness
Room at top of house very hot & despite open window no air circulation. Bathroom had very little light. Only channels on TV were BBC1 & BBC2. Code given for wifi didn't work. TV in guests lounge had no signal at all
Lovely room Handy location for us but some may feel it is a bit far out of town Good breakfast Very friendly and helpful staff Very good value for money Would stay again on a further Jersey visit
Warm, friendly welcome, especially from Sofia at breakfast. Breakfast was divine!
Noisy at the front but only stayed one night. For a longer stay request room away from front.
Friendly staff Delicious breakfast Convenient both for the beach and the town
We are both in our sixties but had to carry our cases up four flights of stairs The window rattled in the wind on the first night & we were given two doorstops to mend! The toilet seat made an awful noise when divided which was not mended (just needed oil!) En suite very small - lucky we were fairly slim!
good reception and departure friendly staff in the morning , nicely decorated breakfastroom and hall ways
lack of quantity and quality over breakfast items basic aand limited food stuffs no continental ham / cheese and served on small tea plates one slice of toast per person 1 bottle of sauce for the dinning room parking to be paid for between 8 and 5 hence your breakfast and morning shower could cost you if your there after 8am limited tv channels bbc only limited tea coffee in the room ,carpets need to be cleaned / changed ,no hosptpitality on offer from the owner
Warm welcome and good breakfast.
Our room 6 was very cramped and towels were very hard. The website stated "free public parking is possible at a location nearby(reservation is not possible)" This is misleading as it is only free from 5pm until 8am otherwise 70p per hour. We found all nearby spaces and carparks were always full so had to park in multistorey 10 minutes walk away. Because of this discomfort we left after one night.
the personal service, and the ffrenleness of the staff, we would be very happy to stay there on another viset
This is a good B&B: I would highlight two main positive features: (i) the location, close to the sea but 10 minutes or so walk from town, with an excellent restaurant (quite upscale) just opposite (Roseville Bistro). Excellent fish and steak; (ii) Maria, the boss, is kindness itself, and the breakfast waitress has an infectious laugh. For Maria, who is obviously very busy, to give guests the personal attention she does is really nice and was greatly appreciated.. Incidentally, the taxi fare from the airport is £18-£20; the 15 bus to the terminus is a viable alternative at £1.80: turn right out of the bus station, left just by the Pomme D'Or Hotel and keep walking (taking a slight right fork across a pedestrianized bit). Just after this you'll see Roseville Street on the right: when you see the sea you're getting close. Very simple, a 10-15 minute walk; it would be hard to get lost.
Nothing really: I would stress, though, that this is a friendly and homely B&B not a luxurious one: you'll be well looked after and get an excellent English breakfast but no smoked salmon or caviar!
Great location - quiet but only a few mins from the town centre and a very short walk to the beach.
Nothing of note.
television wifi couldn't connect
We had a warm welcome despite arriving early. Location good, hotel clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend a stay at La Bonne Vie
