Right in the very heart of the city and with some limited secure parking, the Eaton Hotel is a great base for your visit to Chester.

The breakfast was good, there was plenty on offer and the cooked breakfast was mostly grilled so not greasy.
There were some builders in the room above who woke us at midnight then proceeded to be noisy (shouting, swearing, and singing loudly) until we asked them to be quiet at 1am, they were then a little quieter, but there was still some noisy moving about for some time. It would be better not to mix families with groups of workmen, this spoiled our visit and our 9 year old was not only woken but also heard some very bad language.
Pleasant, comfortable stay. Room was nice and warm Ideally located, owner polite and helpful.
Would benefit from an update, room was not the cleanest, dressing table, bed side table, mirror all dusty/dirty. Cob webs on ceiling, although pillows had two pillow cases on, pillows where stained. I would think the above are just all basic standards, and not just being picky/fussy.
Dated interior. Dining area tables too close too eachother, may aswell have sat guests at one table. Bedside lamp faulty, turned on and off by wobbling the table! The television automatically turned on loudly at 06:30am. States it has parking, in fact there is a yard at the rear which accomodates 3 cars tightly, not spaces. We had to pay to park five minutes away.
The location was excellent and John the manager a really nice friendly guy. It was a last minute stop over for me to meet with work colleagues. Cheap and cheerful not the Ritz but would definitely stay again especially for the price of £37 inc breakfast that I paid.
Wifi wasn't very strong in my room but it wasn't the end of the world.
The location was good. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. Excellent breakfast. Free parking
Place VERY tired and shabby. Breakfast between 8-9. Headboard insecure and banging on wall. numerous electrical extensions around the bed for lamp.
Within waking distance for everything, full English hearty breakfast, good sized family room, very warm., friendly owners., room rate cheapest for Chester centre, free parking facility
Does need a revamp.tired and worn, but clean, but then, I suppose the price will go up, you can't have it always does need some new breakfast plates, as they are well used and that's easily sorted
Staff were very friendly. It is in a good location for the centre and offers free parking.
The guest house is very tired and desperately needs updating. It has been up for sale and I believe has now been sold. I am sure that the new owners will put their own stamp on the guest house.
The service was good I felt welcome and comfortable for my stay. The bed was comfortable and the room had a television. Cooked breakfast was available on each morning and the room was just right for my stay and had it s own en suite shower room. I would go again.
There was nothing bad I would say about the guesthouse my stay was a good one.
The location was good car parking was available good breakfast
The location is great and free parking is very helpful. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very nice.
The room does need updating although I know this is due to happen soon. The shower could be more powerful and the shower needs replacing or a deep clean.
Proximity into town was ideal Fab breakfast, albeit on a grubby plate Friendly staff
Overpriced Dirty Stained bed linen Shower not working properly Poor parking Sheer lack of attention
The staff tried hard ,Very near to the centre of chester .The breakfast was good.
The hotel was in the middle of a building site which was noisy ,also the rooms were dirty and scruffy.Parking was very tight only room for three and the place was very overpriced .The hotel is being sold at the moment so maybe that's why no effort is being put into it.
It was welcoming and breakfast was first class.
The guy who runs the place was extremely friendly and helpful.
The place looked like something from the 50's! It wasn't very clean either, but for £37 a night, I guess some would say you get what you pay for. Just very old fashioned and tatty looking.
room was very warm plenty of hot water, good tea / coffee making and good tv reception which was apparently a must for the footy
there was no-one on the premises when we arrived at 2.30 rang them but we had to wait for 1 hour with no explanation until manager arrived to let us in,by which time we were very cold and in need of a hot drink
The staff was lovely and helpful. The breakfast was escellent. The location was perfect
It was a little bit cold and and my room feels the wetness.
Where it was , very near the town and pubs
Cleanness of hotel was very poor and needs a lot of up dating , my sister was put in a room off the kitchen area and the room belong to a man who stayed mon to fri , and was told she could only use half the wardrobe .
Close to city centre and shops. Basic but good rooms. Lovely breakfast and the lady was lovely, polite and chatty.
I was going for a day of leisure in Chester and didn't really have a plan for my day. I felt under pressure to arrive at a certain time. When I said I'd be there after 6, I wasn't made aware that somebody was waiting for me. Just before 7pm I had a text saying "Where are you? Somebody has been waiting for you for nearly an hour and they are leaving at 7pm." I felt like a naughty school kid in trouble. I use hotels all the time and coming and going when you want has never been a problem before. Although the member of staff was polite when I arrived, I felt as though I'd put him out of his way. I assumed there's be somebody there 24 hours for arrivals, etc. Apart from that it was a good stay but I feel as though you should be made aware of this prior to booking as many people like myself may find this inconvenient.

The manager was really very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, the position quite close to city centre.
Near to city centre Wifi is OK (12 mbps)
Very poor room - badly in need of renovation and redecoration. Smells damp. Disgusting old and badly stained pillow - horrible and unacceptable. Owners / staff not on site apart from check in time and breakfast. Worn out beds. Noisy - people coming in at midnight and making loads of noise for an hour - and because the staff are not on site we had to deal with it ourselves. Currently in the process of being sold. All in all not as described - a worn out shabby, not-very clean and overly expensive B&B.
Very central location, 2 mins walk to centre. A warm welcome from John the Manager. He collected our luggage and took us to our room which had two singles and a double bed. All were found to be clean and comfortable, en suite bathroom was a decent size. Had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was great, plenty of it and also the hotel owner was on breakfast duties along with John and he was very welcoming and very chatty and made us feel like we didn't need to be rushing anywhere and just enjoy our breakfast in a relaxed environment. Would definitely stay again.
The room was a tad chilly through the night but that would probably just be down to the time of year, perhaps pop the heating on once the weather takes a change outside.
