Mercure Bridgwater, hotel in Bridgwater

Mercure Bridgwater in Bridgwater has 4-star accommodation with a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar.

I've recently written a review for the hotel, so it seems unnecessary to go into it again, but I will add 2 things. Housekeeping staff work really hard. The aircon is bloody useless and so noisy.

Holiday Inn Express Bridgwater M5, Jct24, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Bridgwater

Holiday Inn Express Bridgwater M5, Jct24, an IHG Hotel in Bridgwater has 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking.

We were allocated another hotel due to the Holiday Inn being refurbed, however the replacement was excellent, we stayed at the Hotel Ibis, Bridgewater, we had 1 twin & 1 double connecting rooms which were amazing. Loved the "industrial" feel and look of the decor. Breakfast was slow and had to wait for food to be replenished, however it was very good.

Countryside all around, spiralling town of a moderate size with a river running through its heart. Town centre good for shopping, wandering, plenty of nice cafes & other eating & drinking places. Handy place to stay & visit places attractions in the wider area. Decent road system, easy to navigate. Like everywhere parking is the proble, but not if you don't mind short pleasant walk, as opposed to parking at the door of where you want.

I went to school here and lived in the area for many years so my visit was to catch up with some old friends. The town centre has improved over the decades and seems to be thriving - probably due to the current Hinckley C construction. Retail and business parks can be found close to the town along with a selection of supermarkets. Plenty of history in the area and a visit to the museum will highlight the local involvement in the Civil war. There is a one way system through / around the centre of the town. Plenty of cafés and a Wetherspoons.

Bridgwater isn't the prettiest of towns.

Bridgwater isn't the prettiest of towns. It's quite industrial with lots of different units around. We only actually stopped there on one occasion for a brief while to get some lunch. We did find a suitable pub which was OK but nothing special. I was expecting more oldie worldy.

My son lives there so we went out and about by car, Bridgwater itself is run down and in need of some investment and tlc, not much to do in the way of eating out you would need to travel out a bit to take advantage of the country pubs and carveries, one bit od advice give the KFC in Bridgwater a big miss it’s dirty, seems more concerned with delivery orders than actual walk in customers, we went in on Sunday evening around 8.15, it was empty and we struggled to find a clean table to use

I live in the North West of England and this town was very similiar. Compact shopping centre with a mix of the usual retailers and plenty of local traders. If you like pub life, you will be well catered for. A friedly atmosphere created by the locals.

A really interesting town, full of beautiful buildings. Check out Castle House, the first reinforced concrete building in the world-1851. Also a visit to the Drake Museum. What a gem of a place, with really friendly staff. If you have time a walk along the canal, or the river.

A well-located hotel in a quiet village on the old A38, away from the M5. There is ample free parking on-site, and the rooms are large, comfortable, clean and well maintained, if slightly dated in style of decor. The food was good, and with some further attention to details, could be very good, as were the carefully chosen and well-priced wines. But the outstanding aspect of the hotel are the staff. Every member of the team was welcoming, engaging, and attentive to customers' needs. Thank you all for making it a delightful stay!

Clean hotel and lovely and new breakfast was so nice but could do with more sofa seating. Lovely new and clean. Was so pleased value for money was outstanding. The best holiday express IV stayed in. IV payed 100 a night before to stay in the marriot before and this is way better. Of they put a gym and pool in it it would be ever better!!!! Pub next door was lovely. The only complaint I would make is the room was a bit cold during the nightm apart from that it's the best hotel for value of money nice and new.

A couple of areas are in need of an update but the hotel was clean and in an ideal position for our weekend. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was easy with lots of available spaces. Rooms were at a good temperature which may sound like an odd comment but room temperature is often difficult to get right. The food (evening meal and breakfast) were also very good. Not quite excellent but very good overall.

Not the best place I've stayed the shower was luke warm and couldn't change the temperature as that was taped up with insulation tape there were only 2 pillows on the bed and one bath towel and one hand towel between two people the staff didnt converse with you at all I would stay again but only because of the central location and bridgewater is a really good night out and this hotel is just cheap for getting your head down for a one nighter

the hotel was located central in Bridgewater, the room was clean and had all the facilities needed. The bathroom contained a king size spa bath. Breakfast was cooked to order and of a very high standard, I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast and the portion size was large and well cooked. There was also vegetarian and vegan options for those who wanted it. Service was quick and staff very helpful and polite

a really warm and friendly welcome from staff. we were personally taken to our room and shown the facilities. the location is ideal to have a short stroll into Bridgewater. the hotel restaurant was superb with well cooked, high quality ingredients. Breakfast is again excellent quality and well cooked. this is a gem of a find with the owners having won the Four in a Bed TV competition at a previous hotel in the area.

although advertised as dog friendly I was still surprised at how much access we still had to the hotel lobby. we were able to eat at the keepers bar and have breakfast comfortably and the dog was able to stay with us the entire time. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was comfortable, if needing a bit better clean of the furniture.

Great staff and friendly service Good food. And friendly service Whilst not as luxurious as our usual type of hotel it was less than half the price we usually pay. It was clean and the staff were friendly. It's proximity to the m5 was a real bonus. Plenty of parking

The Hotel is located very close to the town center. There are enough food options around and they have a large car park just outside. The room I had was large and clean except for the carpet which could be vaccumed more.
