Room was quiet
Not really a hotel. No staff, no phone in room. No staff on arrival at 4pm Room dated with broken wardrobe and light fittings Radiators not working Inadequate sockets. POOR
Reception on arrival v. friendly / helpful.
Had problems when checking out as no one around initially. Took a while to get anyone's attention.
The staff were excellent, especially the manager with our young daughter!
Breakfast was good value for money.
Double booked! Sauna not warmed up Cold swimming pool Staff seemed obviously uneasy around the owner.
Accommodation is in individual bungalow/chalets. Very comfortable and quiet and in lovely rural surroundings.
When arriving staff unhelpful and once in the room we could write our names in the dust on the bedside tables don't think it had been cleaned since the last guest there was still talc on the bathroom floor. Would never go back.
Lumpy bed poor bathroom with hole in floor and for the price should have included breakfast-I booked this last minute for my parents who were visiting their dying sister, shame they weren't impressed.
Staff friendly and pleasant, beds comfortable and nice towels. Evening meal good.
No hot water in bath or basin, only in shower. Holes in net curtains and decor needed updating. A few cobwebs on light fittings etc. Expensive for quality of accommodation.
Staff and guests were so friendly Nothing was too much for the staff Food was good wholesome cuisine and portion sizes were big Room was good The grounds and area were fab
The swimming pool was a tad too small, but we still managed a swim Some of the décor needs updating but it won't put us off coming back at the end of October
No breakfast included, this was not made known when booking, an expensive bed.
Didn't like the smell in the rooms, swimming pool was very cloudy and not very inviting, bar smelt very damp and not at all enticing. Didn't think it was worth £90 for a room.
The facilities were dated but very clean and the beds were very comfortable
It was better than reviews
Place needed a lot of updating and work doing to it.... Wasn't the cleanest and could get somewhere a lot better for the money.. Plus no hot water, which having small children definitely isn't ideal!!....
Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble (one of the ladies would have driven us to the party we were attending at Pawlett on Sunday if she had finished her shift earlier) Comfy beds Easy parking.
Wish my wine had been a bit cheaper but saying that I shouldn't drink so much ha.
most things..... room not ready @3:30pm Noisy guests kept us awake poor in-room facilities for the price whilst waiting for me to get the key my wife felt threatened by the drunken guests...lewd comments etc
Room, clean beds, tv.
attitude of the owner, breakfast not included at £84 per night. Surrounding areasof accomodation all looked very tired,
bed good and shower
The rooms were Ok but our basthroom was dirty and a toilet brush had horrible stains and residue on it. when we arrived for breakfast at 8.30 there was nothing left.No attempt was made to find us or make us a cooked breakfast.at night there was no lighting across the yard to the lodges. The walls of the rooms were paper thin. we were kept awake all night by three drunken revellers. apart from one friendly barman the staff were surly and only grudgingly helpful. the cleaning system is disorganised with one maid doing both reception and cleaning on the first day. . this is terrible value for money and it is NOT cheap at £90.00 pp per night. The bill was charged exactly at our arrival and no attempt was made to tell us that money had gone from our account without our knowledge. No receipts were given. our friends room was not cleaned-the excuse that was made was because they had kept the door key!!!!! There was a nail sticking out of the French door upon which my friend tripped.
Spacious room, comfortable, staff were helpful, reasonable value
Mildy trailer park atmosphere, looked like it had seen better days
The one member of staff we saw was very friendly and helpful.
No lighting outside so couldn't even see where to walk down the dark roads to find our room from the bar, had to get a member of staff to walk with us. Couldn't even see the numbers on the front door to find our room! Needs updating - very old fashioned. "Heated" pool was freezing cold.
Parking next to accommodation. Very helpful staff. Biscuits and got chocolate and variety of teas inc fruit. Plenty of mugs and glasses too! Lovely conservatory at back of room with a fridge so I could put meat in for BBQ that we had brought. Staff also offered me BBQ to cook on so very happy! Everything clean and tidy. Didn't use the bar or order food so cannot comment on that but bar staff very friendly and helpful.
Tennis court was slippery so no running and bit dated. Tv signal terrible so didn't watch that and would have preferred it in the bedroom rather than conservatory. Walls very thin so was woken several times by neighbours. Pool was beautiful and empty, however we had to ask for heating to be put on. Sauna also, and needs 5x £1 coins to be activated which we weren't aware of. Gym equipment not working mostly.
The accomodation being separate lodges.
Furnishings need updating and could do with redecorating
