Personal touch from owner, who is also a runner. Cooked breakfast repaired freshly to order. We were attending a wedding and got back really late which was no problem (we had a key to let ourselves in).
The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The room was warm.
The pillows were rather hard and the television was tiny!
Lack of car parking space
Very helpful owner, intimate setting (only 3 rooms). It was September and the heating worked! Tasty breakfast. Quiet and peaceful environment. Restaurants and stores about 100 -200 meters.
location was excellent. Staff/Owner's very friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing. Warm and comfortable.
great value b&b.first rate breakfast.really handy for hawes.
friendly service great breakfast (best we had all holidays) Tearoom downstairs for lovely homemade cakes Real homely welcome
Breakfast was outstanding. We ate well every morning. The room was full of character as was the whole place. So handy to have the tea room on the ground floor. Managed a couple of home made cakes following our walks. Again, beautifully cooked. Bob and Teresa were very welcoming. Pye the dog gave a very warm welcome, especially around breakfast time. We'll definitely use Laburnum again if we B&B in Hawes.
Coming home from my favorite place in the Dales.
Everything. Food was wholesome, country-rustic and REAL (unlike some more expensive hotels. Well-behaved dogs allowed, as in Europe mainland. Lovely people. They deserve every success.
Certain moaning members of my tourist class. (My apologies on their behalf). Some few wish to ban dogs to this establishment. I personally would much rather ban unhygienic children who stick fingers in the sugar, and whine, to the beatific smiles of their parents.
Friendly and helpful owners. Delicious breakfast.
The food, the people and the atmosphere. We had a lovely time.
Just like a posh hotel.
Bed a bit short but Geoff tall.
The hotel was clean the staff friendly and a nice touch wa the feel it was a 'proper' home having family working together and even a friendly dog to welcome us
Nothing to dislike
The room was small but perfectly proportioned. The bed was comfy and the shower a huge surprise (I have never experienced an electric shower with such force before!). The owner gave us great advice re the local eateries. The breakfast was huge and very tasty. Good coffee, jams etc. We left with very happy tummies.
Our room looked over the main road - it was humid so we had to open the window but unfortunately it is quite noisy outside at pub kicking out time so our sleep was abit disturbed by that - not the B and B's fault though.
The location, the breakfast
Poor standard of cleanliness and decoration. The lady owner was abrupt and unwelcoming but the gentleman was very nice.
Very nice people and felt very comfortable.
Nothing to dislike
Quirky comfortable stay. Great breakfast, friendly people. Would stay again. Plenty of advice from owners on where to go and what to do as well as places to eat. Recommended.
Welcoming and accommodating. Comfortable, well located, good breakfast, good value
Welcoming and comfortable.
Right in town, near all the restaurants and tourist attractions.
Room was on the road and very noisy
Very convenient in the town center and not busy with only 3 rooms, excellent breakfast and very comfortable.
Nice place, nice people, fair price
Not enough hooks to hang up clothes, or rails, hooks in shower room. Should have a hairdryer in each room instead of everyone sharing one hairdryer
We travelled to take part in the 3 peaks. Got breakfast at 5.30am! Lovely friendly family run business. Supportive, kind and just an all round good experience. The water is steaming hot, beds comfy, just lovely all around!
Excellent breakfast !
