The room was nicely decorated laud out well with ample room. The hotel staff were very pleasant and friendly. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast menu and the quality of food was very good. The room was next to a pub kitchen extract, which was on all night and was very noisy. Easily exceeding the recomended 25db noise level at night. We hardly slept all night. Rooms situated in other areas away from the pub kitchen would have been better. |

Welcoming staff and a great location for exploring the town centre on foot. Single room I stayed in was very small, though comfortable enough. |

They thought of all the little things, from the way the lighting was designed to keeping the milk in the fridge. Beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable, even included an iron and ironing board! |

The hotel is close to the walking streets and easy access to city shopping. The district is one of the better ones of Nottingham. Easy to find several restaurants close. Nice, simple and calm atmosphere. Free access to wireless internet! Difficult to find by car and parking is 5 minutes away from the hotel. Rooms are small and bathroom not really practical. Old small television in room. Not possible to open the windows of the room fully. |

Thought the room was small but adequate. To save space I would recommend a flat screen tv. I did request a bath but never got one |

I stayed in this hotel for three nights and was given a rather large room, which provided great comfort. Breakfast was excellent and the pub belonging to the hotel offered very good food. |

Have stayed at the Lace Market before some time ago, its now starting to look a little tired and in need of updating. To retain its status it really needs to up its game a little, small things like the TV in the room. Boutique hotels like this one would expect a flat screen or plasma TV not a little 14" portable ! |

Service and breakfast were very good. Room was comfortable and had a lovely view pf the adjacent Church and grounds. Ventilation was good. Bathroom looking a bit tired. Would like to see some more hanging storage. A couple of coathooks would have been helpful as it was raining quite heavily |

The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was good. The hotel bar was closed when we returned at 10pm. Any serious city centre hotel should have these facilities 7 days a week. |

This hotel is very well located for easy access to the city centre, the shopping areas and the night life. Yet the hotel remains peaceful and the bustle of the outside activities doesn't intrude into the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was provided from the "gastro pub" next door and was good value and very prompt. First impressions of the hotel were not good. The hotel reception and public areas look tired and drab. However, the large room we occupied was clean, tidy and well kept. |

The basic room was terrible, small, dark and gloomy with no view. We had to pay extra to get an acceptable room and even this was below the standards we expect of a 4/5 star hotel. We will not use this hotel again although we visit Nottingham twice a month. |

Staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was vey good. Excellent location for the concert we attended at the Trent Arena. Decor is a bit on the gloomy side and some parts of the hotel are in need of redecoration and refurbishment. Slightly expensive. |

The Lace market Hotel is the hotel I choose every time I stay in Nottingham, it is a hotel with a face, provides good qualiy accommodation, that is more than just a hotel and attention to detail makes it a little special The last time I stayed it was very busy and the service, although not awful, wasn't up to the usual standard- for example - breakfast on cold plates and things missing from table |

Restaurant food is very good both for evening meal and breakfast. Lack of air-conditioning in rooms. Have to keep windows closed due to noise from outside street, as a result room gets too hot in warm weather. Bathrooms could do with re-decorating, paintwork is a bit shabby. Washbasins are not practical (water spout too low). Service in restaurant ar breakfast time not very good. Evening is fine. |
