The warm welcome, beautiful views, scrumptious breakfast, crackling fire, under floor heating in the bathroom, the huge bathtub... everything
The suite was lovely and homely the log fire that rose lit for us on arrival, the tea and homemade biscuits made you feel welcome and the breakfast was lovely we will return next year. 5 star
Nothing at all
Everything, the experience was faultless. Rose was the perfect hostest and had a log fire burning for our arrival. The retreat, views, breakfast and service were all amazing. I will definitely be back. You can tell every little detail has been thought about to make you feel completely relaxed and special.
Absolutely amazing weekend. From the moment my partner and I arrived we were welcomed by our host for the weekend, Rose, who throughout attended to our every need. After a brief unpacking we headed off to the local for food and drink and having abandoned the car in the car park (with the landlords consent!) that night, the following morning we walked to the pub with directions from Rose. A particular highlight followed the next day with breakfast cooked individually and upon request by Rose using very high quality products and to a high standard (my partner and I particularly enjoyed the oatcakes and granola to the extent that they have been added to this weeks shopping list!). The following day my partner had a Reiki treatment from Rose to de-stress and it did the trick and relaxed her to the point of sleeping despite her initial skepticism! After the afternoon nap we went into nearby Congelton before returning to sit in front of the log fire to completely relax. Again, the morning after, we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast before checking out and ending our perfect weekend. I cannot recommend this place highly enough; the accommodation is prefect and immaculate, the location convenient, the staff amazing and for value for money it is unrivalled. I strongly suspect we'll be back very soon.
Very, very minor - I like a cold shower and I couldn't get the temperature below 30 degrees. I suspect I am the only person who has ever tried to turn it so low!
Good friendly and informative reception. Great roomy and sensitively arranged furnishings. Lovely breakfasts with excellent view over countryside. Handy to visit many local places of interest.
Everything was perfect. The beautiful roaring fire, the lovely comfortable furniture and beds, the superb bathroom, the delicious good, the stunning views and most of all the warm welcome and genuine care shown ....... Will definitely go again. Thank you so much for looking after us so well.
We liked everything about Ladderstile Retreat...the warm and friendly welcome, very comfortable, spacious, clean and beautifully decorated accommodation (including an open fireplace lit for our arrival), lovely rural views and fresh, delicious breakfast. Thank you Rose.
The welcome: the attention to detail: the wonderful views: the utter quietness: the delicious breakfast and the delightful hosts who make their visitors feel so at home.
Rose's attention to detail made our stay special from the homemade biscuits to the hot water bottles. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast while watching the various birds and ewes. I loved the privacy of having our own living room to unwind in. The location is near enough to Leek and Congleton.
I was surprised by the level of traffic travelling early in the morning ie 5.30am, but soon got used to it.
This is spacious, comfortable accommodation. We arrived to a roaring log fire, home made cake, a pot of tea, and greeted by the friendliest host you could ever meet. The breakfast was served in the garden room with a wonderful view and cooked to order with fresh produce. Our biggest regret was we only booked one night, as we came away chilled and our busy working lives a million miles away! We visited Quarry Bank national trust property on the way there and Dunham Massey on the way back. We took a DVD and cheese and biscuits and nibbles for the evening. Rose offers complementary therapy treatment on request. We plan to return soon to further explore the area and will highly recommend the place to our friends and family.
I'm unable to comment about restaurants in the area as we didn't consider going out.
Welcoming thoughtful hosts who ensured that Ladderstile Retreat provided every possible luxury and comfort.
The room was very spacious - 3 rooms when you include the living room and sun room. The wildlife immediately outside the window kept us entertained and Rose was very welcoming and friendly. The Reiki experience was very relaxing and worth the little bit extra.
A fabulous place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Great owners and breakfasts. We will definitely visit again when we need to recharge our batteries.
Not a thing!!
Rose was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Nothing too much trouble and had a relaxing reflexology session too!
