The food at this hotel is wonderful - we intended to eat there only one night and ended up eating there every night. A very high standard of food from a talented chef is the chief hallmark of this property - go there and be dazzled. The room we stayed in was a bit odd in decor for a 5 star hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and fantastically quiet and private, but we stayed in the new part of the house and the furnishings were not great. Also, we had three chandeliers and 4 sets of sconces in a relatively small room - you felt it could be an operating theatre. |

The reception was as attentive to me as to the guy in front checking into a Junior Suite with monogrammed luggage off a Ferrari. The reception manager communicated with me regarding my family's needs and ensured they were well met. The room was exceptional - huge bathroom, well-proportioned bedroom with side study leading out to a rose garden. There was a wedding the weekend we stayed and the noisy rock band should have been toned down by midnight. The restaurant's standard of cuisine is excellent (solid cooking of fresh produce)-we dined two nights in a row despite the comments to follow. Its too expensive given the restaurant's service staff: generally slow & clueless. |

The levels of service were excellent and the location was ideal The food was overpriced. Whilst of a good standard, it did not deserve to be priced at central London levels. In the case of a £20 cooked breakfast, it would make more sense marketing-wise, to increase the room rate to include it. |

The location and the care of the staff. The ambience was lovely and the food wonderful When I arrived the hotel tried to give me a room that was at a lower grade than Booking.com had told me I had paid for. i.e. a Junior suite where the receptionist insisted the rate was for the basic room only - after a lengthy discussion she allowed the stay in the Junior suite but this was somewhat embarassing converstaion to have on arrival. This was a problem with Booking. |

high quality of service - professional and inobstrusive; extensive grounds; the air of exclusivity; excellent cuisine; luxury upgrade much appreciated; reference to environmental considerations (I'm an expert in this field); No dislikes - couldn't see a wireless internet connection. We ate in the Mountbatten Room in a private party so could not comment on the Avenue menu or ambience - please send the current menu so I can see what the options are for a future visit. |

Friendliness & caring of staff, lovely food, comfortable & relaxed public seating areas, very expensive but if it was less the things that made the difference would be cut or lesser. sanitary disposal facilities in bedrooms (just the bags, please. Nothing more fancy) |

This hotel is beautiful. It is extreamily well presented and by far the best hotel I have stayed in. There is a gorgeous log fire as you enter the reception. The room was more like an apartment and had a fabulous spar bath and more charactor then you can imagine. I would recomend this hotel to everyone as it is perfect. Simply enchanting I can think of nothing at all that i did not like except the fact that i didnt stay longer |

We were staying there with a wedding party and the wedding was beautiful. Staff very attentive. Lainston House is the type of venue where you have to pay for everything. The hotel is very expensive, the bar / breakfast / restaurant are all overpriced. |

Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter In der ersten Nacht wurde ich im Standartzimmer untergebracht obwohl ein Deluxe Zimmer gebucht wurde.Das Standartzimmer ist max. mit 2 Sternen zu bewerten. Insgesamt sehr schlecht Betten in beiden Zimmern. Viel zu hohe Preise für die angebotenen Speisen. Da ich wöchentlich in England bin gehört dieses Hotel schon aufgrund seiner überzogenen Preise zu den schlechteren in dieses Kategorie. |
