The room was large and the bathroom was exceptional with a large stand alone bath and a big shower cubicle. It didn't justify the high prices. A 15 minute walk into town.

Room was comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. There was a humming sound all night coming from outside the room, like an air conditioning unit. Gave us a restless night. The hotel is Michelin rated, but unfortunately as all guests had only booked bed and breakfast we had to dine out. For the price, this is an average B&B.

Warm welcome. Efficient service. Helpful to requests. Well located for Keswick and the surrounding attractions. Good breakfast chioce, well prepared and presented. Very clean. Karen is an outstanding staff member. Very small room which was not even big enough to fit a comfortable chair - a major discomfort. Poor quality bed so poor sleep. No bath in the en- suite, shower only - another major discomfort. At £90+ per night for single occupation of a very small, poorly furnished and uncomfortable double room, this was very poor value for money.

Excellent staff. On arrival we were given a tour of the hotel and made to feel very welcome. Malcom, the manager, was a fount of knowledge and advice for places to visit / eat / walk. It's about a 15 minute stroll to Keswick town centre. Highly recommended for a quiet, relaxing hotel.

Very good hotel at a quiet location, on a 10 minute walk from the centre of the lovely town of Keswick. The owner makes time for his guests. The hotel has a nice garden and their breakfast is very good. My room was very nice and was well equiped.

We are visitors from Singapore. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. We were first greeted by the owner, Malcolm, when we checked in. We had a large double bedroom. The bedroom is very nice and comfortable with a view of the garden. The surrounding was very quiet and peaceful. It's about 15 mins walk to the town along a small stream. The food was excellent. Jennifer is an excellent cook. Both Malcolm and Jennifer made us feel very welcome and we felt very at home. They are superb host. I will certainly stay there again if I'm in Keswick. I can't think of anything I didn't like. I would highly recommend anyone who is going to Keswick to stay at this hotel. It is quiet and restful, yet not too far from town.

The best part of the Lairbeck was the family atmosphere. Malcom and Jennifer were awesome hosts. It didn't take long before we felt totally at home. The food was great too. Karen kept the rooms clean and tidy and served the meals with a tremendous smile. The next time we go to Keswick, we are staying at the Lairbeck.

The staff, the location and the public rooms were excellent. The reception in particular was impressive and had comfortable seating. There was free wifi in reception but this did not extend to my room. I felt my single room was too small. There was no chair, only a stool. I felt the decor could have been brighter to make the room seem larger. However, the room did have beautiful views.
