Bit of traffic noise, double glazing would be usefull.
A pleasant Inn - well located for easy access to Edinburgh.
Clean and comfortable room, nice staff and a good breakfast.
Noisy air-conditioning unit right outside my window, running all night!
The staff were fantastic as was the breakfast
Comfortable bed, nice bedding, excellent breakfast, great tea and coffee facilities, free fast Wi-Fi, clean shower room. Friendly, helpful staff.
Tiniest shower room ever seen, grubby carpet, broken radiator, but, electric heater provided. No bedside tables or side lights, had to use our cases to put items on, very noisy in the early morning.
No problem getting the drinks in here must be the longest public bar I have ever seen!!!
Super value, great atmosphere, lovely surroundings & most importantly, a good selection of whiskeys!
Good atmosphere in the inn. Enjoyed a really nice bar meal. Had a good night's sleep.
Nothing to dislike.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Best fish and chips we have had in a long while for our evening meal. Breakfast very good. Would definitely return again for a meal, but size of room put us off returning to stay. Sorry!
Bedroom was too small for 2 people. No bedside light so had to negotiate full length of room in dark at bedtime. TV picture kept breaking up, but they did apologise that they were having problems with the aerial that night. Wifi signal was too weak to use in room.
Excellent food, friendly polite staff and very clean accomodation
the location is excellent, the service is great and breakfast was good.
The shower was an electric shower and had little flow/pressure
Room was at the rear and was noisey due to people smoking below.Shower did not work
The environment was lovely, room was ok and bed was comfortable!
Was woke up during the night by someone snoring in another room for hours and then early morning the cleaner/housekeeper crashed around the rooms next to us like a bull in a china shop! Very noisy as in room right at front on main road also as I was awake for hours and as I stayed to attend a funeral I would have liked a good nights rest!
Good wi-fi. Beer was good. Bed was comfy. The staff were very nice & the atmosphere was good.
Room was tiny & shower didn't work & was very small. we did get a discount when we complained. very noisy at night. food very hit & miss. My meal was lovely, my husbands meal cold & mediocre
Everything was properly done and the staff were very friendly
the food was great and the beds were extremely comfortable. although not in the city centre the transport links were great and it was only £2 each way and the bus stops right outside the front door
the room was quite small but just enough room for the 2 of us.
the rooms had everything you needed beds comfortable and clean excellent evening meals available breakfast was great everything you could want
Staff extremely friendly & obliging. Food was of a very high standard. Hope we get the chance to stay again.
Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, disabled access to the rooms is very limited.
Excellent service, even supplied me with breakfast well after advertised times.
My husband and I have stayed here often and found the staff very helpful food good would recommend.
I am gluten free and there was no gluten free bread for toast. I booked on line and gave a note of this.

Nothing at all
It had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere,The staff were very helpful.direct access to car park was good too. Food very good too.nothing seemed too much bother.
The bedroom was very warm and although we could open the window, a wee block of something to keep it open would be handy. Some noisy customers leaving on Saturday night was a bit of a nuisance.
