We were transferred to the Regent Hotel due to problems related to the flooding affecting the Lake District in November 2009. The Regent is the sister hotel of the Lake House located in Waterhead bay. Despite the terrible weather we had a great stay, staff were friendly, the room was well kept etc. Would stay again. |

Very much liked the room decoration, especially the teddy bear on the bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful to all our demands. The location was also excellent. I really recommend this hotel for a weekend in the lake district. |

The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The hotel provides a perfect base for a walking holiday in the Windermere area. The hotel does not offer evening meals. |

The decor was very nice, friendly staff, good choice for breakfast, good location - close to Windemere Lake but back from the main road so nice and quiet, clean, adequate parking for all guests, nice views. Had a lovely 2 night break. Would thoroughly recommend. In our room we had a Velux window which, if it was raining, was quite noisy with the rain hitting it. Not much you can do about that and this was a very minor irritation. |

To be immediately greeted and taken to room. Walking into extremely clean, well presented room - right down to the cuddly dog on the spare bed! The view from the room was good. The breakfast was good. The friendly staff really made you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel felt like a home from home. ( We do find a shower head fitted to the wall easier to use than the one over the taps provided - but everything else makes up for that). The shower set-up. |

Nice view from room; enjoyed breakfast No bar; some traffic noise; C H turned off ; a bit steep price-wise for what was on offer. Not sure I could totally recommend it at price I paid. Parent Hotel (Regent by the Lake) suited us better, apart from view ! |

Beautifully decorated room with view of lake. great location.delightful breakfast room. friendly staff. enjoyed meal at your hotel opposite. free internet access appreciated as was travelling without computer and needed to check maps etc. Exceeded expectation. Please pass on our appreciation to staff for our brief but very enjoyable stay.. Traffic noise from road below...however was very busy time of year and probably unavoidable. |

The hotel was attractive,in a quiet location and very well furnished and maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the buffet breakfast was substandard. At these prices I would like a breakfast cooked to order and with a choice of how I wished eggs cooked or even other dishes such as eggs benedict.I feel the hoel is overpriced. We were given an attic room and could not even see out of the windows. Also missed having a bar and restaurant ,even just for bar food. |
