Classic rooms are comfortable with a country feel, reflecting the character of the house. There are twin, family and double classic rooms available and the double rooms have king-size double beds.

Superior rooms are larger and have fantastic views over Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes beyond. These rooms have king-size beds.

The four-poster rooms are beautiful, with breathtaking views of Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes beyond. Each of these rooms has a king-size four-poster bed.

There is one fully converted disabled room on the ground floor that meets ETC accessibility for all criteria. There are also other ground-floor rooms with good access.

Ambleside is right in the heart of the English Lake District, situated at the northern tip of Windermere, England's largest natural lake. While in Ambleside, why not explore some of the many shops, or visit Bridge House, a National Trust property and probably one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District? A region made famous by poets such as William Wordsworth, the English Lake District boasts spectacular scenery which can be enjoyed all year round. The region also has a number of excellent and award-winning tourist attractions, including lake cruises and sailing on Windermere, available from Waterhead Bay, 100 metres away from Lake House.

Travel information

By Car (from the M6 motorway):
- Leave the M6 at junction 36 and head for Ambleside on the A591. The hotel is on the right, just after the traffic lights.
