The Lake Isle Hotel & Restaurant  

Very comfy bed!! Helpful and polite staff, food was excellent in the restaurant but expensive. Great location to explore Uppingham. Would recomend for a quiet night away from it all.

We had a warm welcome and enjoyed the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

the restaurant served an excellent meal- I had Barbary duck with a sour cherry sauce and my partner had an excellent lamb dish. The desserts were also worth having- not your standard fare and cooked onsite by a good chef. Good reception staff- non intrusive etc.

the parking is atrocious. round the corner, up a narrow alley and then tightly packed with cars having to move to let you out. This should be made clear when booking as it is a big drawback.The bedroom was not fantastically clean. It was just about clean enough not to make a fuss- but it should be better than that.

The staff are very helpful and friendly

Great restaurant and hotel had a familiar boutique feel. Overall good value for money.

We thought the food was gorgeous and thought the hotel an ideal base for exploring Rutland - close to Rutland Water, Oakham and Stamford. The hotel is also in the heart of Uppingham and it is easy to have a stroll around this gorgeous little town

Could not open my window - fortunately it was not too hot the weekend we stayed.

The restaurant was superb and the room was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed.

Welcoming and friendly staff, comfortable and cosy bedroom and excellent cuisine in the dining room.

Bedrooms small but very well equipped. Fan especially appreciated. Nice touches of tea and fruit and home made biscuits in our room. They could give me peppermint tea for breakfast. Sorry to miss the restaurant at night as it looked good and had a good recommendation but we were at a party nearby and they served us well giving us our own access key. Parking available is a plus but bit tricky to access. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Good value for money. My husband said he had a very good breakfast and food was well presented.

I judge a hotel by its scrambled eggs for breakfast. I requested softly scrambled...they came hard. I assume the waitress did not pass on my request and she did top up the peppermint teapot with something else but she was cheerful !

当日、Uppinghamはとても混んでおり、おそらくホテルも満室に近かったのではないかと思いますが、- 離れのような部屋に案内され、とても静かでした。また、チェックアウトの日は日曜日でローカルのバスは運行- がなかったのですが、ホテルのスタッフの方が一生懸命タクシーを探してくれました。

ちょっと部屋が寒かったです。
