Room cosy but clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, well cooked with good quality ingredients. Advertising it as free wi-fi when it does not work in your room, plus you are only allowed to connect for 30 minutes. These type of restrictions are really annoying.

Very helpful and friendly. Went out of there way to help. Best cooked breakfast for a long time. Light and airy. Lakeland House is in the town, but we still had great views of Coniston Old Man. It wais very quiet and peaceful, and we had the window open all night.

Friendly and helpful management. Everything designed to make the stay simple. Excellent accommodation and breakfast. Handy that a cafe is part of the same establishment.

Excellent location with fabulous views of the surrounding fells and The Old Man of Coniston from our room No.1 The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs which included making up a packed lunch for a day walking in the surrounding fells. Would definitely stay here again - waking up to a fabulous view of the mountains from our bed in room 1, priceless.

The room was lovely with amazing views. Food was excellent both breakfast and Hollands Cafe. Staff were friendly. Great location for access to whole Lake District and amazing to be able to start at your door to walk up The Old Man of Coniston. If you wanted to pick holes, you could but can't say we wanted to!

Friendly welcome from the owner and a lovely room to spend the 3 nights that I did. Good, hearty breakfasts to set you up for a day on the fells - so much so I didnt need anything else until the evening. Parking is easy (midweek admittedly) and free on the road opposite. Good location with all amenities - and pubs - within easy reach.

Lakeland House has very good facilities for children (cot, high chair in the breakfast room). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The cafe next door was cosy and had a nice selection of cakes (did not have time to go there this time). Very nice location for the Lakes. Good pub food nearby.
