These 2 Victorian townhouses are a 10 minute walk from the center of town, and an even shorter walk from Christ Church College and the Thames.

Just across from the Queen's College playing fields and a 10-minute walk from the center of Oxford, the Falcon B&B is housed in 2 late-Victorian town houses and offers views of the college boathouses....

Facilities, quality, comfortable, location, breakfast.
Not enough parking. Lacks the personal feel that normally characterises a Guest House
cozy, comfortable, close to city center
shower water pressure :(
The cleanliness, the decor and furniture, staff and food.
Warm and friendly - cute and stylish. Nice breakfast
Warm, cosy, spotlessly clean. Crisp linen, fluffy pillows, comfy bed. Lovely toiletries. Beautiful 15 min walk along the Thames into Oxford, or 5 min bus ride, car parking. Well cooked, tasty, piping hot breakfast. Perfect hospitality
Could not fault anything
Location, breakfast was was very good. Good and friendly staff.
It is our best choice to stay in Lakeside. Breakfast is freshly made and of big portion. Though you need a bit of walk to the city, it is acceptable.
The only drawback is the noise of floor when we or guests on upper floors walk around the room. Parking space is limited, either you park earlier and being blocked by late comers, or being the latest one to block everyone. Luckily, it is not too difficult to find guests to move their cars.:-)
Our accommodation [three nights] was clean, comfortable, and very nicely appointed. The room was bright with good illumination both day and night. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. If you are mobility challenged be sure to request a ground floor unit. Each morning they served a full English Breakfast. A Continental breakfast was also available. The dining room was on the ground floor as was our room. No steps. Hinksey Park is immediately next door and has a very nice children’s play area. There is a self-serve Laundromat and a convenience store just a block up the street. Public transportation: -Taxi from the open air market behind the Gloucester Green Bus Station was just over six pounds -Bus X3 to/from the train station -Bus 16 and 35 provide easy access to central Oxford; and in the other direction Bus 16 takes you to Templar Square [a US style shopping mall] The buses have access for strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs. Would we stay again?
Staff on site only limited hours. Can be a problem if you don't have a phone

Homelike, pleasant and clean hotel with very nice, polite and friendly owners, who made everything to make myself at home. Definitely recommend!

Wi-Fi a little intermittent
Nice place, good breakfast, within easy walking distance from centre, relatively quiet location.
Somewhat small room.
Good facilities. Next to a park, lovely outdoor pool nearby. Near to car parking and buses. Good breakfast. Helpful owners. Close to town centre.
Comfortable room with good WiFi, easy walking into the City and Easy access to Tourist bus routes friendly and helpful staff and owners
Room rather noisy and light as no curtains ( slatted blinds) and was at front of the house breakfast was ok but only served for a short period so it was then or never - we did not get up in time on one morning.
We (parents and one daughter) stayed four nights at the Lakeside Guest House. We enjoyed the rich breakfast, with various options. The family room was spacious and well equipped. The hosts Daniela and Mark were very friendly. The city centre is within walking distance (we always walked). We will choose the Lakeside Guest House again for our next stay in Oxford. PS. Runners will enjoy the Thames river path which crosses the Abingdon Street not far away.
No negative points
Great People & Service. Try the scrambled eggs. Cosy room and Facilities and very clean!! Nice for couples and for relaxing.
A bit far from the center ... not a serious problem if you like walking. No desktop area for those on business ... but good wifi and a comfortable chair for quick tasks with your laptop.
Good location quite near the center of the town and close to the thames path trail.
Excellent breakfast, friendly & helpful staff.
Traffic noise in front room.
Just the frequent buses outside the guesthouse.
Lakeside guest house is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Oxford. It's at walking distance from the city centre in peaceful sorroundings. There's also a bus which takes you to Oxford railways station and to the city centre. The place is run by their owners who will do everything to make your stay memorable. High-quality breakfast. Very comfortable bedrooms, though a bit small. Quiet place. Highly recommendable.
