we liked being upgraded, thank you.
We asked for a disabled room, but my husband couldn't climb into the bath for a shower, as it was too high.
Quiet pleasant location with a nice view of the lake.
nothing bars just closes when harry potter says close the bar when he has guess staying with no one to cook meals because he has no one to cook the meals
all of it and he can shove is obe where the sun don't shine
Location, comfy bed, lake view
Shower was tap fed (not power) so was a nightmare to get temp right (also H and C the wrong way round!!).
Quiet location with nice greenery and lake.
extremely noisy guests in adjoining rooms, very loud socialising, doors being slammed etc, well until around 2 am.
Hopeless location for 3G signal. Noise from room above. Staff at reception didn't even know if room was ground or first floor.
Suitable for my temporary place of work. Just within my budget.
Can be very noisy as little insulation between rooms. Plumbing can be very noisy and a bit up and down with water pressure. Surroundings are a bit grim and run down.
Good price, good location.
Everywhere was clean , beds comfy and staff hefpful
Great location...nice to have the view to the lake :)
Front view is terrific (lakeside). Super price performance for the region. Not luxurious but very tidy and clean. Very quiet!
Rear of the house associates former glory and is a bit industrial. In one of the rooms the toilet seat fell off.
Pleasant room overlooking the lake. Large amounts of storage space Pleasant staff
Insufficient room around one side of the doublebed - concerned about damaging or marking the wall
The room was very clean
Outside appearance was shabby and there was no access to walk around the lake
Beautiful view. Due to Booking.com deal it was cheap so just barest okay but won't go again, not even at that price! We would have been VERY unhappy if paid full price.
Room was small and awkwardly squashed in. Kettle plug wouldn't reach desk so kettle had to boil on floor. Access and parking were through a goods yard and after booking in at the very nice main hotel, it felt like being sent "round the back" literally and down into a budget level. It was budget price, to be fair but as a last minute booking that's to be expected and the comparison as we arrived but were then set adrift, rubbed that in uncomfortably. Shower room was basic. Bed was mobile and not fixable without pushing it up against wall. Stairs were open metal fire escape type, awkward with suitcase and/or heels - especially struggled to manage these alone and ended up coming down sitting on my rear, one step at a time, wedging suitcase. There were no staff to ask for help or directions except back on main site right across lake. Perhaps i could have phoned but i "felt" isolated. Sign posts really poor. Got lost trying to find it round back of other facilities and again trying to get back out. All in all i felt as cheap and unwanted as the booking i shouldn't have accepted and won't return to again. if i ever visit this complex again, I'll never book the lodges. Main hotel is acceptable, well lit, friendly and worth a visit. lodges are unloved and occupants feel that. :(
The broken door handle, The broken tap, Stains on two of the towels, The three bulbs that were not working, which meant it was far too dark, as the three that were working were not as bright as a small candle, I do not understand how Potters Lodges could have received a 7.1 rating, the people that gave the ratings obviously never stayed in the same room as my wife and I did, thats the only explanation, or they are people that are easily satisfied, and they do not care what they get or how they are treated. There is obviously no maintenance there whatsoever
A very good nights sleep
Sink blocked and poor shower
would recommend it to anyone.excellent place.
Unfortunately I didn't like anything about it.
I was disappointed at how dark the room was, bathroom was dirty. The cold water didn't work properly. I was expecting to be overlooking the lake but this wasn't the case. We couldn't even get to walk around the lake as it was blocked off. Definitely not worth the money.
While closing my curtain the whole rail fell off. This meant I was awoken early with no curtains to stop daylight entering and no telephone to contact reception to sort It out.
got upgraded to main international hotel for no extra charge
price fair size room for the money paid.
walls are not very well sound proofed.
Secluded easy access to where I needed to be.
Not enough coffee and milk, also didn't get a towel everyday.
The water, TV didn't work in very well.
The room was in a good location and had good basic facilities.
The light in the bathroom was not working and when reported to reception we were told that this could not be fixed until Monday (we were there for one night on a Saturday). The receptionist did not appear to think this was issue, even though we then had to use the bathroom in the dark.
