Bed was comfortable and room adequate. Shower was good.
Nio Wifi Room was to hot despite having no heat on - pipes running around the room was the cause. Cleaning seemed to cover the basics but failed to deal with general dirt and dust.
Very friendly staff. Felt at home. Loved the food. Ample parking spaces.
The view of the lake Tea and Coffee facilities
Cold room on arrival No telephone in the room No BBC TV as very poor reception Only 1 bedside lamp No CH or DG in bathroom, extremely cold No hot water, lukewarm Light in hallway not working Only 1 bath towel initially provided Too remote from main hotel No duty manager at weekend
The delightful approach over broken tarmac through a rabbit warren of jaded hotels in various states of repair. The stained carpet to rival the finest American motels. The view of the lake through the frosted glass of the bathroom. The music of footsteps on the iron fire escape doubling as access to the upper floors.
What's not to like? I'll be back.
it was quiet
Signs to show you where to book in were non existent.
Value. View of lake from room - I posted it on FB !
Creaky floorboards - I was upstairs this time in a double room. I pity the people beneath.
Excellent view of the lake from our window. We thought the accommodation was value for money and will certainly consider returning.
Everything about the stay.
Having to leave.
Convenient location for the function we were attending.
Arrived late evening - no central heating had been switched on. Next morning no hot water available. One towel between 2 of us. No toilet brush. Advising receptionist on departure, reply was "we'll they are our cheapest rooms". Sadly could not recommend the accommodation.is
1) Room was very small 2)Maintainence was very poor quarter of inch gap on front door allowed draft through shower gave pulsating water
Only provided with 1 towel. Not enough tea and coffee for stay
working in the area, stay for months at a time, Excellent place to stay
Good clean room and value for money cannot be faulted. Unless you need to keep in touch by the Internet this place is great for a variety of purposes. Lodges are in a cul de sac at the end of an extensive property and I would be nervous of my wife staying here alone as there are no phones in the room.
Useless WiFi when will some hoteliers learn that WiFi is now a fundamental part of business, they expect bookings through the Internet but don't accommodate guests with a satisfactory service which is a pretty basic requirement if you are in business.
Only one set of towels incredibly noisy upstairs
Uncertain as to where to check in on arrival. Black mould on 50% of ceiling in shower room, this was not a 'previous day' occurrence as suggested by the receptionist as the mould spreading down on to the wall tiles. Really disappointing.
Was told the room was 1 min to walk when it was Infact nearly 5 mins, only one towel even though was booked for 2 people. The noise was awful from 6.30 in the morning and the cleaners were making a lot of noise, banging doors and speaking loudly.
Room/bathroom clean and good views over the lake. The staff were friendly.
No Wi Fi.
Very noisy. No sound insulation between floors. We had rowdy teenagers above us who kept running up iron stairs and banging doors all night. Did not sleep
The rooms here are comfortable and a decent size and are good value for money with coffee and tea making in the rooms.
If you stay in the lodges there is no WiFi available as the signal is poor. I asked reception to reboot the router which they said they would but it still didn't work. I run an Internet driven business and must respond to enquiries so WiFi is a must and really is a cheap fix for them if they want to fix it. I have stayed here a few times over the past two years and had hoped this had been resolved by now so its doubtful if I would return as I simply can't afford to be out of touch. They don't charge for WiFi and I try not to stay in places that do, but I can see no point in advertising a service that doesn't work.
The fact that I stayed at a mates one night of the 3 days I was there
Customer service was shocking electric went so they moved me hotels at 2300 they knew what room I was in at the continental I went back to the lakeside lodges to see if I had left any thing the cleaners just throw my £125 chinos and £70 Lyle and Scott shirt out in the rain ... One they had fixed the electrical fault they when tried to move me back from the new hotel I refused they also charged me twice for staying at the shocking hotel which in turn made me overdrawn and got a £12 charge so I do not reccommend this hotel to anyone over priced with absolutely shocking customer service
The surroundings were beautiful.
breakfast was not included in price.
The leaky shower
Almost 40% of the shower room ceiling was covered in mould
- clean place
staff really unprofessional some spaces had no internet cover
loved the lake vie
