Food was excellent.
Room was very basic and was not value for money the wifi was awful. Some of the staff were unhelpful / rude.
The location , the weather - both brilliant .The overall impact of the experience of our 3 night stay reminiscent of a bygone age or one fast disappearing .
absolutely nothing .

This hotel is amazing, perfect location, superb food. Colour changing bathroom was cool ;-)
Wifi was poor but we wasnt bothered, we was on a relaxing break so didnt need internet access.
we loved everything
Service and comfort is excellent at The Lakeside Hotel. It is an incredibly relaxing weekend destination and the location is perfect for a 'lake district' experience with beautiful views and proximity to the ferries crossing Lake Windermere. The food is also delicious and the spa treatments are worth every penny!
The only downside to The Lakeside Spa Hotel is that there are no bicycles to hire so if you do not have a car, you are somewhat stranded. The nearest place to hire bikes is a 30minute taxi journey which defeats the object. I would recommend that The Lakeside Spa invests in bikes and electric bikes for its guests - they would definitely get used.
The hotel, gardens and view of the lake were lovely. The food was excellent and very well presented, although expensive. The room was large and the bathroom was very attractive and clean. This hotel is more for older guests and less for families with young children.
The room did not have air conditioning and extremely hot, however on request a fan was provided. We had a 15 month old, and there was no childrens menu and the dining areas were very formal, so this is a hotel more for couples and less for families with young children. The room was clean, with the exception of the carpet, which could benefit from a more powerful vacum being used on it. This was evident because toddler eventually ended up sleeping on floor, due to smallness of cot provided.

Loved the location, decor and feel of the place. Staff were friendly. Food was nice
Not flexible enough, you have amazing views but not utilising them by not allowing meals to be served outside (when sunny). Stuck in the middle rooms. Breakfast or an evening snack on the veranda by the water would have just topped off the experience. Just slightly frustrated. Still would recommend though
Our room though a good mile from reception and not a lake view was spacious and peaceful.
long walk to room by receptionist when there was a much shorter one we discovered ourselves!
The style f the hotel and the food was delicious.
Very noisy room
The fact that we had to take taxis every time we wanted to go to Windermere or Bowness whenever we missed the Ferry or if we just wanted to go after 5:00 pm to enjoy the different restaurants, and walking around the busy areas, was very inconvenient and costed dearly. I would have liked to find an hourly hotel suttle that could take the guests to Bowness and Windermere and back, during the day or at least during the period between 5:00 and 10:00 at night. Thank you.
Friendly staff - great location - delicious food
Nothing at all
Everything was exellantt
The conservatory, and every thing around ( peacefully)
Good service, excellent location.
Bed very soft.
Great lakeside and ferry side location
Only for old people and those with families
The location was lovely. The staff were so helpful and the facilities were excellent. We loved everything about it except the bed was too soft but we'll definately come back soon
Just the bed was too soft :)
What did we like? Not much really The view was nice I suppose
The staff have no idea how to deal with people or how to behave It's not intensional, they all seemed nice people and would fit on well at a travel lodge, not a £200pn hotel. The food was very poor. The piano player was far too loud. The whole place is very run down and dirty And the wifi! Don't bother. The gym equipment is well past the end of its life. We were very disappointed.
The hotel was amazing, staff catered for your every need! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
On the booking email you said we had a court yard Veiw but what we got was a Veiw of a stone wall, for bed and breakfast at £200.00 this was a let down for us,maybe if we Had paid more or not booked with you we would have got a better room with a nicer view.
Food was amazing. Cooked breakfast should a few more options specially for vegetarians like me. But overall enjoyed my stay here with family.
Rooms could be slightly bigger.
the service at this hotel in second to none, staff are well trained, friendly and attentive. the food was fab, I limited menu of superb dishes rather then an extensive menu of ok dishes. which is what I prefer. great location with a lovely pool/spa area. very good with children!! we have been before and we definitely return!!!
the hotel is starting to look a bit tired in places, but this didn't bother me as it added to its charm, however may bother others. as they so child friendly they would benefit from having a small room maybe dedicated to children with games and tv. this would giving them somewhere to go and 'be children' while not bothering other child free guests. they do have a room with some old boards games to hand, but maybe they could expand on this a bit.
The location, the attentiveness of the staff, the food and the surroundings
Our room was at the far end of the hotel up several staircases!
