The standard of the rooms is good for a single person but I would think a little cramped for two people The breakfast room a little spartan and major drawback is having no lounge |

it wasn't far from the local amenities.somewhere to park the car,breakfast was included and there was a good choice it was quite noisy,the waterworks in the morning maybe? but it helped us get up! |

Very helpful friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. Breakfast good - cooked food constantly being refilled so stayed hot. Good location - almost in centre of Ambleside. Would definitely return. |

Locality easy walking to town and eating places I have had better for less maybe they can get these prices here. Also they add a charity donation on to the bill this is wrong, if the hotel wishes to give to a charity it should be out of the money they recieve not added to our bill..... Totally out of order !!! |

Liked the great view we had from our room. No.10. There was a Tv, DVD & radio in the room incase of very wet days. Lovely hot power shower! Main bedroom was well laid out. Parking very tight. Bathroom ( more a shower room ) very small cramped, NO Bath at all. Fan in shower room broken. Breakfast was a 1 hr rush and in that time a bit dried up at times. Bed was very hard!! Digital Tv and radio supplied to room but there was No digital signal to receive this, so no point in having it. Large cupboard for clothes hanging was falling apart ( nails sticking out! ). |

Staff were very helpful and willing to help with local information. Buffet breakfast was good and hotel provided a good base to explore Ambleside. Room was also very clean. Despite booking a 'superior' double room, it was situated right next to reception meaning that everyone had to pass it going to and from their rooms and consequently it was very noisy. |

The hotel was ideally placed to access the town and surrounding areas. The room was excellent, breakfast was lovely and we were very well looked after by the two young girls who work there - they were extremely helpful and always ready with information about the area. We will hopefully return sometime. |

The Lakes Lodge was very clean and comfortable and the linen , bedding and duvet was of a very high quality. Breakfast was buffet style but very well presented and the quality of food and service was excellent. The room we had did not have a bath and the shower was small but there are rooms with baths and if we went again we would prefer a bath or the superior room which has a spectacular view. |

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Manager got up early to make our breakfast because we had to leave before the usual dining times. Rooms were lovely, clean, modern and with all the facilties you would expect from a good hotel. The location is great - close to the lake and next to the centre of town. Would recomment it and would stay there again. |
