Ideally situated on Stranraer seafront, just a 5 minute walk from the center of town, train station and ferry terminal, this family-run guesthouse offers free Wi-Fi, scenic views and cooked breakfasts. Lakeview Guest House has been awarded 3 stars by the Scottish Tourist Board, and the cozy bedrooms feature satellite TVs and seating areas. Some have private bathrooms or views of Loch Ryan. Delicious full Scottish breakfasts are served daily in the dining room at Lakeview, and continental options are also available. Special diets and early breakfasts can also be arranged. It was conveniently situated for the purpose of my stay and provided adequate accommodation at a very reasonable price. The room was a little on the small side.

This was the jewel in our holiday bookings. What an absolute treat to find such a warm and inviting yet beautifully restored building from the 1840'S. It had all the charm of an older building with the comfort required by modern day weary travelers. The owners treated us like family and even offered to assist by driving us to the train station in the morning. The full English breakfast was prepared to order, hot and very filling. The owners recommended a local Chinese Restaurant for dinner which was wonderful. The large menu affords something for everyone. This was a great deal for the price. You'll not find a better experience.

Owner was very sweet. The room was adorable. Free internet was great The water shut off before we'd finished our showers in the morning. Guess we were taking too long?

Very convenient for where I wanted to go. Huge bed which was great, but made the room very cramped. Thin walls meant you could hear people talking in adjacent rooms.

The Breakfast and the size of the size of the car park Mould in the bathroom. The rooms were dated from the 1960's no comfort smelled like somebody died

Really nice and clean place,lovely old house but rooms were modern and tastefully decorated Really good value for money and would definately stay again. Breakfast was excellent and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

If I had any problems they were more than happy to help me out. They made sure I was able to get into the guest house ok as I arrived late at night and made my stay comfortable and enjoyable, Would definitely recommend.
