The main reason is that the hotel is dog friendly. Also it has a car park so once there we do not have to worry about the car or car parking. Straight out of the hotel and into the park. Easy walk to the beach and also to the shops and restaurants. Always comfortable and clean. Comfy lounge area and although we didn´t eat there this time the Bistro food is very good and very reasonable. It´s also nice to have breakfast out on the terrace if it´s sunny.

The location was excellent and we had a lovely view of Bournemouth Gardens from our bedroom window. Staff were helpful and friendly when we checked in. During our stay there were few people using the restaurant or bar so these areas lacked atmosphere. When checking out we enquired about a future visit but the staff seemed too busy to discuss this and said that date was busy and didn't attempt to offer alternatives.

The Lampeter was a good price for a hotel in such a handy location for the beach, and town centre. It is clean, comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. The hotel Bistro / Bar - Beau Monde, proved to be a comfortable facility for meals and drinks, relaxing after a day out, during several nights of our stay. Parking in the hotel car park is limited at very busy periods, (We were there over the Easter Bank Holiday). However there are plenty of car parks near by / round the corner, so it is not something that would stop us using this hotel again. In any case this a problem in most city hotels.

City centre, easy access to shops/beach. Rooms spacious and clean. Very good restaurant. Staff very friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble - even to giving us a table so my other half could watch the football whilst we ate our meal!! Nothing not to like

I had a very nice stay at the Lampeter Hotel, clean comfortable and cosy room. Very nice breakfast (and I'm rather fussy). Delightful location with views over the gardens, near to the pier and BIC. It was my first visit to this hotel and I am booking again for another stay next week.

I arrived very late - 10.28pm on the friday evening but the staff (I had rung thru to advise them) were very pleasant considering the desk was closed for the evening and they had to come up from the bistro. If they were a tad put out they certainly didn't show it and acted in a professional and friendly manner. Also on my return Saturday night, there was no room in the car park, the chef was about to leave, but if that was a problem the man at reception was also due to leave in 10 mins so both were prepared to move in order for me to park my car. My bed was not made on the saturday, althou tea and coffee supply was topped up. Not a complaint, but the car park (as mentioned above) was full, I had to park in the BIC while I sorted a space. I am a street wise London girly BUT it is not clever in Bournemouth on your own on a saturday night(Hen nights etc.) Having said that, the hotel is situated in a busy part of Bournemouth so difficult. Also they have a system whereby they take your car keys(once u r in car park) and the staff move the cars around if neccessary for people to get in or out, so again another plus for the hotel and its staff

The staff were very friendly. I had lovely view from my room overlooking the Winter gardens (however it was a bit small and would have preferred a bath) There was a good selection for breakfast in the morning which was a plus as I dont eat cooked brerakfasts only cereal, bread & yoghurt The room was a bit small and I would have preferred a bath rather than a shower

A lovely hotel, perfect location, enjoyed dining on the terrace overlooking the gardens. The staff were friendly and courteous and the service was very good. The food was also excellent. I am recommending the hotel to everyone I know. I'd say 10 out of 10! It was perfect. What's not to like?

The location was perfect for the B I C, Beach and Parks. The staff were very friendly and certainly had a customer service attitude. Car parking on the day we checked out was made available to us so we could stay in the resort without having to drive around for another car park. Our room appeared to have been recently refurbished which was also good.

Just the location, because the city is nice and a lot of restaurants and bars in the area. Everything was very poor, when asking for a quite room, I got a room between stairs with a lot of passages, so very noisy. Room was very small and really old fashion ( welcome back in the 19 th century. very cold in the night as the heating was shut off during night, and because it is a old building and isolation is really poor, you woke up at 2.00 am because of the cold. Bathroom was not only small but useless, the small shower was providing only a little warm water in the evening. forget to have a shower before 6.00 am, y'll get only cold water and WC do not flush properly... One of the worst hotel i have ever been and I can tell you that I only travel for work so....
