Beautiful Grounds nice setting
Dated interior Very basic food messy breakfast
The staff were friendly and eager to help. Lovely room with plenty of seating and double aspect windows. Excellent facilities although we didn't use the spa or pool. We were specially grateful for the heating being on in our room on a very cold night. Good breakfast - freshly cooked to order. Local products at breakfast nice touch. Lovely evening meal with good steak and exceptional hake.
We liked the position of the hotel, located in the countryside and the standard and quality of the bedrooms. The swimming pool/spa was very clean Also the breakfast was very yummy!!
We booked in at 4.45pm and asked about using the pool .We were told about their leisure centre and how to use the locker room. We changed and headed down to the pool , to be told that kids were not allowed after 5pm .No issue with this but we should have been told at check in and not after we had changed .
Lovely location, and nice to have swimming pool and tennis courts available on site. Staff all friendly and helpful.
The hotel looks a little "tired" in general. Areas inside the pool required a good clean. Both entrances to tennis courts were a little overgrown. Evening meal was okay, but a little overpriced. Room was nice, but had to use a block of wood to hold window open!! With a little more updating and TLC, this place could be glorious.
Lovely large room and very attractive hotel buildings and grounds. We had a studio room which had a separate bedroom off the side for the children. Food quality and service was good and the food tasted very fresh. Swimming pool was a good size and temperature. The hotel is ideally located for visiting Pembroke and the area around.
Timings for children to swim were not great - just 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. We were too late to swim on arrival and the respective open times meant we had to have breakfast first and then swim as there wasn't enough time to swim first. The jacuzzi was not working when we were there which was a shame as I was particularly looking forward to using it.
Breakfast, spa, hotel lounge and staff were all lovely and setting was idyllic.
No sleep after 5.30am due to jumping kids in room above and noisy shower next door.
Location and spa facilities were excellent
The annexe family rooms were very dated and not clean. They badly need a refurb. Not value for money.
Relaxed and friendly staff. Swimming pool
Service at dinner was rather slow. Were they short of staff?
the general ambience and location
lunches & dinners
The pool area was great, but the gym facilities were the best I've encountered in a hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing to much trouble.
Menu a little limited for a four star hotel; however, the food was well cooked, piping hot and tasty. Breakfasts seemed a little disorganized and the fresh fruit, yogurts etc rarely topped up. So very limited choice if you weren't eating breakfast early.
Great location, grand looking, lovely room, nice staff, the best one of your group I have stayed in so far thanks
Bar was too small and cramped
We like the peaceful location and children enjoyed swimming pool.
Hotel is in a beautiful location very close to Tenby and Pembroke. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was very comfortable. Nice go have a swim and a jacuzzi too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely be going back.
Beautiful location and accommodation. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would like to especially thank Dianne for her friendliness and attention.
lovely room,good food
bit quiet, should have some entertainment in the evening
One of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in. Staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous at all times, food was excellent and room was spotless. Highly recommended. Spa and pool were great.
Excellent site and building. Food good, excellent on occasions, but well presented and served by helpful, smart, polite staff.
Identical menus on 3 consecutive nights - a little variation would make a more interesting experience when staying for a few days. There appeared to be staff shortage at breakfast times.
The best weekend away we have ever had. Staff A1 facilities and food great would definitely go again.
The setting was stunning
No wi fi in the annex
