The cottage was really comfortable and the kids loved the cabin beds. Perfect for our visit, as we needed to be close to Pembroke. A beautiful part of the country any time of year.
A lovely old farmhouse with superb views of the countryside.Jane and John made us most welcome.
Road to house was in need of major repair full of pot holes we stayed in the family suite with my grandson there was a lot of noise coming from underneath us which I think may have been kitchen until 11oclock at night it woke my grandson and kept me awake.when I complained the owner said it couldn't have been them!!!! This is the first guest house I have left after 1night I don't know how they got 4stars.there was a lot if old dust under radiator in bathroom and rubbish behind it.very disappointed.
* Lots of space in the apartment. Large rooms; comfortably furnished. * Good base to explore SE Wales - we had a hire car. * Great hosts; were available if and when we needed things.
* Wi Fi was patchy - not available in our apartment and not reliable in the sitting room of the main house. * Dishwasher and washing machine needed some maintainence - in both the filters were so clogged with muck that the appliances didn't clean the first time we used them. Detergent dispenser in washing machine was clogged with mould and old washing powders. But I was glad at least these appliances were available.
Very accommodating, the owner was great and made me feel at home. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Great value for money
We liked the location and also nice and comfortable old bake house with good kitchen facilities including dish washer, laundry machine and dryer. It was really pleasant place for my whole family with three kids enjoyed and relaxed. Esp, my kids loved feeding ponies. :)
lots of spiders and spider web in every corner of the room. My kids were a bit scared but later on they got on with it. Couldn't have any wifi signal in my house. And we expected breakfast in the main dining room but it wasn't included. You need to check whether it is included in your booking in advance.
Mould on the bathroom tiles.

Everything was very good
Cottage was good quality and although quite remote centrally located
The roads were closed at 8am on our checkout day due to the iron man competition it meant we had to vacate at 7.30am on a sunday morning. Wifi comes from main house no signal at all in cottage
lovely old house in beautiful grounds. Owner very pleasant. He cooked an excellent breakfast. very peaceful.
nothing to dislike
warm welcome. lovely room and location. would recommend to anyone
Interesting house and comfortable room
Slightly melancholy atmosphere and the shower control was useless.
Self catering was suitable for a family good space
No hot water for morning shower. Lock to back door did not lock properly.
Lovely location. Pet friendly. Good price.
Just returned from a short stay in the Carthouse cottage at Lamphey Park. A self catering two bed cottage. Nice size with a good sized kitchen in a lovely quiet area. The cottage is in need of some internal paintwork. There was a leak from the kitchen sink which I am sure will be addressed before the next occupants arrive. Both Mr and Mrs Davies welcomed us upon arrival. Full English breakfast was offered at a small price which we accepted and it was very nice. Mr Davies worked hard to keep everyone happy with breakfast options.
Location Decor of the room Made to feel welcome Views from the room Nice atmosphere Free Wifi Helpful staff
Flies in room to be expected due to country location, staff helpful fly spray cured the problem.
Nearly everything! lovely countryside, animals for the granddaughter, good breakfast. Fabulous setting for a quiet break away. Jon and his wife and their team were lovely, nothing too much bother for them. You can take your dogs too!
The road leading to the house was very dodgy. You need a good car, with good suspension! but that was our only downside.
