The staff. They were friendly and kind and ready to help whenever needed. Also a plus: next to the underground. We chose this hotel because of the good reviews on this site. We got an awful twin room on the second floor, 2x3 m at the most with a tiny bathroom.

Very clean, excellent location being a minute's walk from the underground giving access to the whole of London (journey to the centre about 35 minutes), large car park which was free and the room I was given was of reasonably size with an excellent bathroom and shower with a good supply of toiletries. The staff were very helpful and the area had a number of supermarkets and restaurants and pubs. It is a budget hotel so do not expect luxury, but, with this in mind, it is excellent value for money. When I went to bed there was suddenly a loud noise similar to an industrial hoover being in operation in the next room. Never did find out what it was but it meant I found it hard to get to sleep (it was extremely annoying - I nearly got up and left!) I did get to sleep eventually so I do not know exactly how long this lasted. Breakfast was extremely basic, but I didn't pay the earth so should have expected this I guess. The television was old and small, but I didn't book the hotel to watch the television. Despite these negatives I would certainly book this hotel again.

I was on the ground floor and my friend was on the second floor. The staff took and fetched my friend's luggage to her room. They catered for our breakfast by altering the menu because we are vegetarians. There was no plug in the sink!

Cheap, cheerful and has everything you need - including a fridge and fan in my room. It's not luxury - but for the price you can't go far wrong. Right next to the underground station is a bonus too!! They even swapped me to a double with no hassle.

Having paid the same price in the centre of London for what can only be described as a prison cell with shared shower room/toilet and no breakfast, I can only say I was delighted with my accommodation at Lampton Guest House ! Seriously, it was spacious, comfortable, clean, well appointed and ideal for being close to Heathrow.

It's a nice place for who's searching something cheap. The staff are so helpful. There is free wi-fi. It's a couple of minutes away from Hounslow central tube station and about fifteen from the train station. It's located far away from the London centre (zone 1-2), about 30-40 minutes, and the underground tube is very expensive. The hotel looks like a bit negleted. The breakfast isn't self-service.

I wanted somewhere to stay overnight, handy to Heathrow. This was perfect, very close to a tube station. Be warned that the tube station has stairs, and no lift that I could see - if you have lots of heavy bags this could be a problem. Although the room was small, it was cheap and you get what you pay for; it was perfectly satisfactory for one night. The shower, while small, had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good. The staff were a bit surly, but I was not there to make friends.

Very friendly staff. My problem with the place is that the lino in the bathroom was not flat with the floor, the bathroom door was nearly off its hinges, there were no blankets nor duvets; just a counterpane. The plumbing was unusual because the position of hot and cold was reversed from the conventional. There was continuous mechanical noise below us from a fan presumably. In short the building had been badly fitted out.

The staff was attentive and helpful. We requested breakfast half an hour early and they did it with a smile. The property cries out for updating. However our room was reasonably clean.

The location is very convenient - less than a minute's walk to Hounslow Central tube station. The staff were courteous. They served a decent English breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg, beans, and two pieces of toast). The yogourt at breakfast was bad, probably because it's left out of the fridge for too long everyday.

Good value for money, including a breakfast that is really a breakfast (and not just a bowl of milk with cornflakes). Also very close to tube station, shops, restaurants, pubs. And lots of these places have free internet, so don't bother paying 5 pound/hour at the hotel (their only attempt to rip you off).

Cheap. Near from station. The room was really narrow and dirty. The light in the bath room, there were so many bugs in it. Heating system was not good. We were staying basement room but through the night, the foot steps and the car sounds were really noisy and hard to sleep enough.
