Lancaster Gate Hotel    

my third visit - would recommed this hotel

reception was being moved and was not welcoming- had this been my first visit I would not have been impressed

It is perfectly situated between the city center and the parks. It's clean, rooms are good sized, the breakfast was lovely and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. We were very happy with our choice.

rooms poor facilities, it was not what I expected.

Location

The toilette bowls need bleaching. We had two rooms and both had the same problem. I would recommend to use chlorine, as I do.

Nice clean and very comfortable in a good position on the bus route and tube station a few minutes away

The location is very good, just few minutes to one of Hyde Park enterence gates and close to sight seeing stops & metro station. Nice breakfast clean tea-coffee available in the room

The elevator is not available for some rooms, after main elevator you need to take a few stairs with your luggage.

Small double room and paid +£500 for 4 nights

The room was on the stair and very noisy, people talking and walking by my door all the time.

Location is great. Breakfast is also good.

Room was in the basement and the light was insufficient.

Staff were unhelpful. We ordered a taxi from reception and were told 5 mins before due that the cost would be double that originally quoted. We easily secured an Addison Lee car for the original quoted sum. A drink was spilt over my husband- we were not even offered a free one or dry cleaning. A beef burger was delivered to a vegetarian instead of a bean burger. There was no downstairs WC available due to renovation. My husband is disabled and struggled to keep moving around the hotel to and from the room.

The staff are all very helpfull, the breakfast is good value. Room was comfortable. Near public transport and Hyde Park.

The bathroom facilities were awful. The shower did not work and the room was very small. I would not stay there again.

Being on the 5th floor and not liking to use the lift. smoke alarm flashing over the bed.

Closeness to Paddington, Park, shopping.

Room 505 has serious damp in front wall. Breakfast was a scrum. Too few covers for number of rooms.

Location was great. Room was comfortable and enough room. Serviced every day, and clean.

Needs a small fridge in the room.

To sleep. Very silent room, no highways nearby. Convenient bed. Wooden furniture, yellow wallpapers in the room. Very good situated near Kensington garden.

No free wifi

Location in a quiet street, close to the park and underground station. Staff was polite and helpful.

First offered room was somokers' room and very small, although we asked for non-smokers andd got confirmation that it was spacious room. After one night we were transferred to a better, non-smokers' and more spacious room. We had again a bad luck- there were problems with hot water and we had to take shower in a cold water. The problem was fixed same day and the hotel staff was very understanding and helpful.

I am a loyal customer, I prefer Lancaster Gate to other accommodation options based on all the factors - location, service, rooms etc. like it and like to get back here.

The location of this hotel is great. There are several tube stops within a 5 minute walk and Paddington Station is only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but there are numerous shops, restaurants, and pubs just around the corner. Hyde Park and Kennsington Gardens are one street away. We felt like we were native city dwellers. We enjoyed it very much and would definitely stay there again. The full buffet breakfast was wonderful.

We just wish that the renovations being done to the lobby had been completed, otherwise we had no complaints.

Location is fantastic. Right around the corner from Hyde Park, near to two tube stations (Queensway and Lancaster Gate). It is also close to Queensway St where there are lots of shops and restaurants. Our room was comfortable, and clean.

Construction in lobby is unpleasant (no public washroom), cost for Wi-fi is ridiculous - in this day and age there should be no charge for Wi-Fi, especially when you can walk around the corner to the cafe and use theirs for free. The room was very warm, couldn't get it very cool at night, but the window opened which was great!
