The price is too much. very slow shower
Outside door to block slammed noisily.
Cleanliness and its proximity to campus facilities
That was the shower it was making squeaky noise
Handy stop-off dropping daughter back to Uni. Room is basic but very good value. Excellent breakfast! Parking easy and really close to M6 for the journey home.
Have stayed a few times and know my way around now, but Reception is not signposted so if you're going for the first time, download a campus map to take with you. You need the FASS building to collect your room key - it's in the centre of the campus and you have to walk there (it's pedestrianised). Once inside the building there aren't any signs to tell you where to go - turn left and go through the double doors on your right.
breakfast was excellent chef couldn't have been more attentive
difficult to find your way around in the dark black mould in shower was off-putting
The breakfast when we eventually found where it was.
Everything. The Campus is like a maze, with maps that make no sense. It was the worst holiday I have ever had, nearly. The reception, if you can find it, is located very far from the accommodation. We booked two rooms and we're sent off with keys in a sealed envelope. It took us nearly am hour, in the dark of the night to find the rooms which were very basic and cold, and noisy with traffic going past. When we found them, we opened up the envelope and found the two keys inside we're for one room only. We could not open the second bedroom we paid for. We had to try and refind reception. The reception manager have us the second key and said he thought we wanted one single room. The two rooms had been booked weeks before, the key was on the desk in another envelope, and he could see we were two people and not one. The rooms only had a single bed in. We set put again to find the room. We were very stressed. We tried to find somewhere to eat. If you go to Lancaster, it is essentially a student village. The students are lovely, and helped us find our way around. However, the architecture of the main centre, or student village reminds one of a run down, sink council estate without the stray dogs. I could go on.
Great location for an overnight stop. Easy to find. Staff are very helpful and rooms although basic are warm and comfortable. Price was representative of the accommodation required.
Nothing really. I knew what I wanted and this fit the bill.
Location and price
No entertainment tv
breakfast was good and room clean
very difficult to find where to get key wnen l arrived approx. 5.30pm on a saturday
Basic Good value
Arriving n Sunday evening proved to be a nightmare to find anyone to ask for directions to book in. It took almost a complete hour of wandering round the buildings asking for information before I found the desk. Other than that it was fine
Ease of access. Central location.
If you have business on campus this is the perfect place to stay. Breakfast was great - self service and loads of choice. All the staff we came into contact were helpful.
Don't like is too strong a phrase. The shower cubicle was a little tatty - but the shower head worked
Breakfast had good variety
Location on campus food clean and tidy
Directions to get there - a bit ambiguous from just reading a map
Location Inexpensive Good breakfast and WiFi Quiet Cheap eats on campus Friendly staff
Bead small and could feel the springs. Small cramped shower no TV
the size of the room the breakfast was fantastic
the fact that you were less than 100m from the extremely busy M6 motorway hard to actually find just where the reception was on campus for the B&B there were no staff available for checkout difficult to locate the restaurant area for breakfast
Clean, functional accommodation, frequent bus service into Lancaster (15 mins away), close to M6 if arriving by car, good sports facilities on campus (extra charge)
Pretty spartan furniture, no TV, some motorway traffic noise, building site adjacent when I visited.
It was convenient. There were two twin beds and an ensuite with shower, as advertised. There was also a kettle with coffee, tea bags and biscuits.
But there were no sockets near the bed so I couldn't plug in my tablet to act as a clock overnight. The bedside light bulb was broken and despite first leaving the bulb out on the table and then asking for a replacement, was not replaced in the 4 days we stayed. Oh and for information, there was no TV.
We arrive by train to the Lancaster and than by bus to the university. It was realy hard to find were to go from the bus station. Next problem is that when you got the key to your room in conference center you have to go and find your building. Yes you will get the map but there you have buildings with some numbers. Problem is that on walls of the buildings are names not numbers. For some one who is on universyty for the first time it is big problem.
Nice people nice area
Clean, comfortable, and simply furnished room. Good breakfast; as good, if not better than Premier Inn! Easy bus access to Lancaster, Morecambe, and Heysham.
Undercooked evening meal; the pheasant was raw in places! This was cheerfully replaced.
Location Price Quality and service of breakfast in The Lounge
Poor Mattress on bed No TV in room Dated bathroom Bathroom and shower not clean, needed a good steam/spray Instructions to find reception to collect keys ( to be fair they are doing a lot of building work)
