Shared toilets No restaurant in the hotel and not many nearby
Lovely old fashioned traditional hotel, under promised over achieved
Cleanliness Warm ambiance Nice building and street Good value for London Good location
A bar would be a big bonus No lift but didn't bother us.
Very warm and comfortable room. Good location. Nice staff.
WC is not in the room, it is in the corridor for several rooms.
No elevator. No toilet in room.
Great location Low Price Fancy Room
The breakfast was far to expensive
The room was nice & clean & the bed quite comfortable. also staff friendly. Its in a good location & within easy walking distance to theatres & attractions.
It was not too child friendly
Great location, friendly staff, lovely and clean, great room service, brilliant value for money.
An excellent location. I had a "superior room" in the lower ground which faced towards the garden so was very quiet and gave a good night's sleep.
The room was rather on the dark side despite the outside sunshine. However, room ceiling lighting was quite bright! A second table lamp and a corner lamp by the sofa would have added greatly to the room ambience.
We really enjoyed our stay - everything was great concerning the location, the standard, the room and the value for money!
The staff could have a more engaged approach to guests! They could have said goodmorning and goodevening and have had more general politeness matching the normal Standard
Staff freindly. Very helpfull, Big rooms, close every thing.
Very friendly and helpful staff
No lifts, a bit inconvenient
Stayed at this place whilst meeting friends for the weekend. We were travelling all over London, so if you want a reasonably priced, centrally located hotel, you can't go too far wrong with this place. I would go a little more upmarket/price if a romantic place is required, but this hotel would suffice for a singletons needs with no issue.
cleaining service. they took care of my room and clothing during my long period of stay. felt like home!
The proximity to most areas. We are 60 and 64 but very fit and we were able to walk to a lot of areas. Close to Covent Garden, Oxford st shops. Lovely quiet street, very big rooms. Taxis very easy to get and reasonablr. We were a group of 4 and found it easier, quickrr and more economical to get taxis.
We had to pay for breakfast with our deluxe rom and it was very expensive.
I got an upgrade to the Portland and they gave me a room overlooking a private garden. It was perfect.
Double room for more space even though I was alone, with Internet incuded. Room 203 on the second floor very well soundproofed and silent, near the shared bathroom but always very clean. Towels changed daily and bed remade. Central and convenient location. Staff attentive and polite. Plenty of coffe and tea in the room. Excellent! Andrea, Rome.
Very friendly staff and very helpful. We checked in on Saturday 16th and the lady at reception was ever so friendly a big thumbs up for her, our son got sick late afternoon that we had to take him to hospital and she got us a Taxi so quick. He was discharge the next day and she came out to ask how's he doing.
Was bit annoyed on the night of Thursday 21 the guy at reception knock on our door Room 1 to say can we keep it quiet people in the room downstairs from us are complaining. We weren't loud it was just our 3 year old son running around. I'm starting to doubt of it's family friendly.
1.Location. Three mins walk from Russel square underground. One min walk from British museum and 15 from Euston Rail. And it is very quiet at night. 2. The staff were helpful and polite. 3.The rooms are bigger than expected. 4. Wifi are available even though the website states otherwise.
1. No lift 2. We had three rooms. No fans in two of them (but we never asked the receptionist to get one). The only fan was making a huge noise. 3. We deserved a toilet in each room for that price. And the bathrooms are transparent and very small. Luckily we had three.
It would be more comfortable if the bed is a little harder.
Quiet Location close to main rail stations and popular areas Staff Good Sized Room
Shared toilet which wasn't great for a 'superior' room No air con in room made for an uncomfortably warm night
nice neighborhood near tube and BM
it has an in-room shower ... but with no privacy at all ... just a glass door in plain view of the whole room. usually not a problem but we were traveling with family
