Very friendly and efficient staff, food was excellent. Very relaxing place to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening. Will be back soon.

Very warm and welcoming with log fires in the entrance hall and dining rooms. The food was very good at dinner and breakfast.The accommodation was excellent with plenty of toiletries, towels, and even a hot water bottle!

The staff were so friendly and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The food was very good,fantastic chief! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing just what was needed after several long walks in the beautiful country side.

I would love to use the hotel again but it was rather expensive!

This hotel is a bit of a find and could easily survive alongside any of the poshest hotels. One can be forgiven for thinking that you have stepped into a time warp when you step through the front door. The interior is tastfully furnished with antiques and the ambience of the main hall with huge marble fireplace framing a roaring log fire is extremely relaxing and welcoming. The victorian interior was clean and well maintained with our room being in a similar fashion. Cost wise, Premier Inn this aint but we received excellent value for our money. The food is to die for, sevice and staff attitude faultless and we will be back again and again. We thoroughly recommend the hotel.

I didn't like the fact that I bought a lottery ticket in the local village, and it didn't win...

I liked the whole experience of tranquility at Lands of Loyal. Staff were excellent.

Tiles on floor (room 3) need to be regrouted. This detracts from the plush environment.

Everything. From the room with the 4 poster bed, the guest area with the open fire and comfortable chairs to the super staff. It felt more like staying in a friends house rather that a hotel., even the owners greyhound made us welcome.

The hotel is a great place the staff are excellent they see to your every need. Its very clean and welcoming. Food is out of this world.

A wonderful combination of old fashioned charm and up to date facilities. I had a lovely room with a four-poster bed - small but cosy - but also offering a digital television with full range of channels, a luxurious bathroom and wireless connection for my laptop. Staff were attentive but not intrusive and always friendly and helpful. The building is stunning - magnificent hall and fireplace - the surrounding countryside is amazing, offering beautiful walks for all standards of fitness. Thoroughly relaxing weekend in gorgeous surroundings.
