Worn around the edges, very Old England, a perfect getaway. Food fantastic and the bed was so comfortable you did not want to get out. If you want a special meal and a night away this is the place.

Lovely setting and grounds. Hotel's greatest asset clearly resides in the kitchen.Evening dinners were memorable - food faultless, every dish reflected a chef with considerable skills,(however when restaurant busy waiting between courses excessively long). Boutique Hotel as advertised - this is not.Small Country House Hotel -yes, however falls wide of the mark on accommodation. Initially allocated the Lilac Room as a Superior bedroom, although on hotel's admission is small for a standard (Classic) double - moved for second night to more spacious accommodation. Issue with heating in both bedrooms- offered fan heater ! Also after dark lighting poor. All staff very pleasant, some more professional than others. As it stands the accommodation is overpriced (£160 B&B).
