A fabulous place with excellent food and relaxing atmosphere. We had a great time there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and felt really at home. EXCELLENTXXX
The two beds pushed together to make a double bed was a little uncomfortable though didn't spoil the experience
I liked everything about the Langdale chase, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you, the hotel was spotless and the bedroom was gorgeous. Dinner In the Langdale chase was delicious and the choice was great, we will definitely return in the future.
There was nothing I didnt like and if I had to chose something it would be the stairs and only because I have a bad knee but we stayed in the lake house and it more than made up for not getting room 20
Food was awful.
Very friendly staff who made sure you had everything you needed. Private balcony with great views of the lake Nice Breakfast and Dinner location with views of the lake.
Wifi not available in all rooms. Had to go into main hotel areas to pick up Wifi.
Fantastic view, amazing food, lovely grounds to walk the dogs in. Friendly staff who were happy to accommodate the dogs. Close to Bowness for walks and other things to do.
Minor cleanliness issues; cigarette butts left in the ashtray, coffee and tea not left in the room etc. Nothing too major but it slightly spoiled the experience, particularly when paying quite a lot per night.
The hotel has second to none views of the lake. Breathtaking. The sayings true, really do get what you pay for. Staff were helpful & made us feel welcome.
Bed was so comfy! Room clean and we had a huge balcony with amazing views over the lake. Breakfast was really good and staff were polite.
It was all good.
Location Lake View from bedroom Lake/mountain view from terrace Gardens Peace/tranquility Room size Bar/restaurant service
No complimentary water provided in bedroom No glasses provided in bedroom (plastic ones only) Limited toiletries in bathroom Limited tea/coffee etc provided in room Soft drinks overpriced in bar
Size of the room.
It is like guest house rather than hotel. They might charge you with anything that you request from them . So you have to ask before you request . No internet . Breakfast is below than normal. kids are not welcome. To enjoy you have to go somewhere else. In other words, it was only to sleep not to stay.
The grounds are gorgeous and the room was large, modern, and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. The front office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The wi-fi only worked in the main building and cell reception was spotty everywhere else.
We had a short break in order to meet other family members who were staying elsewhere. We stayed in the Lake House (annexe) and had a large bedroom, excellent facilities and a magnificent view over the garden, lake and towards Great Langdale Valley. It was a short walk to the main house for meals or to gain access to the WiFi. The staff were very friendly and the ambience very restful. Food and service were good. I have been passing the Langdale Chase Hotel many times, over many years, and have thought that I would like to stay there one day. I have now stayed there and I have not been disappointed.
The hotel and its grounds set on the NE shore of Windermere, overlooking the Langdale Pikes. Great diner and good wine list. Spacious comfortable room.
The rain that dampened our walk in the garden (it does rain in the Lake District sometimes).
Tha location and comfort of a period hotel with fantastic views and a peaceful garden to wander round at your leasurly. Quite setting in spite of nearness of main road and lake.
Not over joyed with the dinner and breakfast; not as superior as I expected it to be from a hotel of this type.
The relaxed atmosphere, cheerful, friendly staff, wonderful view from our balcony, waking up to view down the lake to sunset over langdales made a most memorable holiday .
Amazing location and unbeatable views
Service was exemplary Food - good choice, reasonably priced Lovely views of the lake throughout the hotel SO peaceful Watching the sun go down over the lake
Bed not the most comfortable - could probably be replaced sooner rather than later
Cheerful, polite staff Interesting and unusual room Superb bed
No wi fi in room Hot water for all of 30 seconds Average to minus food Sandwiches served with couscous..very little filling too
Staff were very friendly helpful and professional, we had been upgraded to a fantastic superior room with outstanding views over lake Windermere. Perfect place to go to feel relaxed and looked after. Beautiful spot. Perfect weekend. Thank you!
NOTHING about the Hotel but Booking.com your own survey - we were a mother and daughter there is no button for that or other... would have been helpful
Everything couldn't fault anything
There was nothing to dislike
Location was first class with great views of the lake with outstand outside grounds and seating. The hotel had ample onsite secure parking away from any major roads.
We stayed in a deluxe top floor bedroom and the only problem was the shower water pressure, more of a trickle; but it was hot.
Spacious room - outstanding views of lake and gardens - ambience of interior and exterior of hotel
wi-fi failed - despite advertising there was connectivity - no matter where I wandered.
excellent all round experience.great views and top notch staff.
