The staff were very welcoming, attentive, nothing was a problem. The SPA treatments were great but the SPA is a little out dated, that said it is being upgraded very soon. The beds were so comfortable we just changed our mattress to the same one as RM5 Brimstone. Great Break and will return
The Weather Small gym, needs to be 4 x the size as they extend membership to locals.
The location, amazing room, lovely staff. Very relaxing spa, beautiful walks.
Spa, swimming pool and food all excellent. The scenery was brilliant!!
The size of the room was incredibly poor value and availability to eat at a reasonable time given we were residents was unimpressive.
Delicious food in Purdey's Restaurant.
Service in the restaurant was very good.
Parking is very poor. We had a meal at the pub on site. Plowmans lunch. The grapes we mouldy and the bread hard.
Central for everything
Rooms to hot bed not good
Superbly appointed room in a wonderful location. Staff were all friendly and very helpful
Everything was even better than expected
The wifi didn't work
Rooms extremly clean very comfortable and clean grounds breakfast was lovely staff where very friendly and helpful
Seclutaed location best hotel room I have ever stayed In
The room was large and the bathroom was loverly
The bed was two single's pushed together and zipped together not a pleasant sleep not much of a view
Loved the room and all the staff in Brimstone
Very busy in the pool area
Every thing about the place
We could not find any faults
Pool, bed and restaurant
Great being able to walk straight out of the hotel onto the fells and then walk out to local pubs and restaurants each night. The car was redundant!
Lack of air con in the rooms
Staff were helpful. Wooded walks
Food in restaurants & for breakfast poor. Decor in rooms tired & uninspiring in public areas. Noisy spa area /pool & more like a holiday village than 5 star resort
Lovely hotel , staff very friendly , had a lovely weekend
Bar and breakfast staff very good and attentive. The food was good with lots of choice.
Reception staff not particularly welcoming and directions to room very difficult to follow especially carrying cases. We had to ask another guest outside how to find our room! Long distance from our room to the main building and awkward to access because of stairs. No assistance offered.
The spa is basically a gym available for all public. So it is quite busy. From the advert and the money being paid, it's not as exclusive as I thought.
A very relaxing stay with a luxurious feel.
Despite the food in the restaurant being one of my favourite meals, the wait of 50 minutes for starters to arrive was not appreciated especially as no reason could be given!!
Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable set in a fantastic setting. Excellent facilities and bedroom was a good size. Appreciated the umbrella by the door.
Having to climb steep and narrow outside stone steps to reach the bedroom. These were made worse by the rain.
Every member of staff we met was very pleasant. Facilities were excellent and very well maintained. Very peaceful and beautiful setting.
The hotel doors were very load slamming. We had a few very early risers that woke us up both mornings. Not sure this could be rectified though and wouldn't put us off coming again
We loved our room it the Brimstone, it had everything you would wish for and more. The reading room with complimentary drinks is a great idea. The staff of the brimstone were really friendly and helpful.
The surrounding facilities of the Langdale estate felt a bit dated in comparison to the Brimstone rooms.
Small room.window opened out onto a walkway...noisy No view. Only terrace to relax on looked out onto a small scruffy pond. Outdoor seating at bar very small.no view of beautiful Lake District
menu choice could have been better
