Score from 5 reviews Superb
Fantastic location. Room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable we want to buy one for ourselves! Great food and the breakfast buffet was good. We liked that we were very much left to our own devices and weren't bothered by staff unless needed. Peaceful and relaxing.
Perhaps a bit more choice in the cold section of the breakfast buffet. Some items in the mini bar e.g. cold drink would have been good. (Very minor points!)
Excellent hotel, lovely room, no complaints.
I recently stayed at langdale hotel and it's such an amazing place from the room which was luxurious to the spa n eating facility, I could not fault any minute if the trip n will be back very soon
Exceptional service. Accommodation first rate. Food first class. Location stupendous.
Choice of eating places
lack of adequate parking and a flesh ripping, coarse finish to the sides of the pool below the waterline. The designer/procurement responsible should be retrained to avoid repeating such an ill advised finish. I ripped my toe which is just healed some weeks later.
The Spa was lovely, very clean, nice staff, somewhere to eat upstairs with newspapers and wifi. The evening meal was good in the resturant, adjoining the bar area. Shame the hotel was not as good
Firstly the Reception staff were not over friendly, and just gave you a key and a map,to find your own room in the grounds, we noticed that there were older people confused outside as to where to find the rooms, as it was dark outside and never been here before. Did not like that the Room was not adjoining the hotel, which meant that you had to walk through the grounds in the rain for breakfast and dinner, the grounds were also quite dark near to where the rooms were located. We were in room 131. It also meant that you had no adjoining lounge or relaxation room to read. Not a nice location for the room. We also found that the Buffet Breakfast was cold, which was not enjoyable, so did not eat the cooked breakfast. The second day we ordered a breakfast from the kitchen, which did come hot. Overall would probably not stay here again as have been to much better hotels for same or less money.
Everything runs like clockwork, very pleasant staff, everything clean and comfortable.
TV reception is very poor and ours was unwatchable.
rooms where spacious,warm room,bed comfy,food lovely,breakfast gorgeous,staff couldnt be anymore helpful,spa was excellent,views stunning,will defo be back
Friendly welcome from reception, efficient staff who answered all our questions. Comfortable, clean room with crisp bed linen. Beautiful bathroom. Sufficient storage to hang clothes and a drying cupboard for wet gear. Good leisure facilities on rainy days. Excellent choice for breakfast on a serve yourself basis. Location of Langdale Hotel is brilliant for long walks through the countryside and over the hills.
Lack of parking space on arrival at weekend. Needs more space as it's manic in the car park by reception. People just abandon their cars anywhere, causing problems for those coming out of a space.
Location and spa treatment staff
No atmosphere in public spaces, tired looking buildings, some staff not trained, steam room out of action, jacuzzi not working properly, swim suit dryer not working etc
Staff friendly without being obsequious, standard of cleanliness very high, food very good.
There needs to be a better range of beers on offer in the Bar. Guinness from a can, one British and one foreign beer is not indicative of the range that exists locally.
Lovely modern rooms, staff ecxellent, good choice for breakfast. Lots of walks from the hotel,
Excellent location. Unfortunately, it had been rain. But around the view, we enjoyed walking around hotel little Langdale, the lakes are fantastic!
we were struggling to get there. If they put clear sign to get hotel. Instead of Chapel site, if they put Langdale might be easier.
I loved the landscaping and the environment of the Hotel with the proximity to Langdale. The room was comfortable with a good range of facilities
We were not tempted by the restaurants and chose to eat out of the Hotel each night. The gym was dated and poorly equipped, with rusty machines
All staff very helpful and friendly. The bed was amazingly comfortable Spa facilities were great Brilliant breakfast!!!
I thought the room would be much nicer according to your website. Feel abit robbed and not happy as I mentioned I was planning on proposing. I didn't in the end. Very dissatisfied
The room And the layout
Location, surrounding scenery , staff, food, bars, spa centre..... Your staff are second to none.
That our time at the hotel and facilities went far to quickly......
The location, facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Spa facilities
Standard of bedrooms
Number of eating places poor in relation to numbers wishing to dine.
At brimstone the fact that you could help yourself to refreshments 24 hrs/day in the reading room
absolutely loved langdale hotel, everything felt 5 star, even the look of the place!
literally the only bad thing i have to say is 2 very small things. the first is the lighting around the grounds, at night walking back to your room can be a bit dark. and secondly was the parking, not a great deal of spaces especially seeing as someone with a land rover had to take up 2 spaces
Staff are always attentive and friendly Food is great The housekeeping is excellent
Travelling around some of the corridors with a push chair was a little tricky when the housekeeping team leave bags of linen in the hall ways. At breakfast one of the team cleaning the tables dropped a hot coffee pot which went all over my wife and the push chair - thankfully nobody was hurt and I accept that accidents happen however a little more care when carrying hot pots is advisable. The lady was very apologetic and I didn't feel the need to complain.
Leisure facilities like rooms spotless and first class Breakfast and evening meals excellent, and staff service was very attentive
Arrived in dark, complex not well lit, car parking tricky and limited for hotel guests
all facilities, including room, very clean/modern and pristine, bed excellent, very comfy, staff very friendly/helpful, buffet breakfast very good with plenty of choice
bedside light not at all bright enough to read with, more shelves needed in bathroom for toiletries etc
