Rooms are very small, basically dressed and no natural light and poorly lit, situated in a motel style layout some distance from the main hotel areas so take a brolly as you will get wet going for breakfast! The doors of the adjoining rooms bang so loudly you will not need a wake up call and dont bank on any lay-in's! The coming and going of guests wakes you with wheeled suitcases passing your window at all hours, The noise from adjoining rooms is annoying, as was the drain outside my window that constantly flowed with shower water from the other rooms, loudly! If you have a medium sized vehicle parking is an issue if you can find a space! The breakfast staff were in a hurry to clear your table and the chef seemed to have issues keeping supply of the hot buffet topped up as we had to wait most mornings. Although spa treatments were booked they were not available at the time of the visit, so no point booking in advance! Sorry Langdale, tatty nets at the windows and dirty bathrooms...not what you advertise and not what I expected for the money paid....very disappointed.
The location is ok, a little away from the main town of Ambleside so restricted unless you drive.
