The location is beautiful, the food was excellent - we ate in the terrace. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. I will be going back again soon!
The room was lovely. spa was great.
Lumpy bed and staff customer service was awful. Rooms not in the main hotel and away from all services.
Bars and restaurant, good walks and very good staff
Check-out is quite early.
The hotel room was excellent super clean and modern with all the facilities you could ask for ! The staff couldn't be more helpful and the location was spot on . If your after a luxury break then this is the one !
We chose to eat at the pub down the lane . The pub is part of the complex but you have to walk down a unlit single track main road !!
In the Fellside rooms so close to the exit and the village but close enough to the hotel facilities
Rooms are comfortable. Nice location. Food good if a little overpriced.
Some staff unhelpful and argumentative.
Nice room, good breakfast, great location
No view, our car had a better view than we did, one felt enclosed.
Customer service is excellent!
Nothing. Everything was great.
Comfortable bed. Selection of breakfast food was good.
Room looking tired and in need of touching up- paintwork and furniture chipped. Noise from other peoples baths disturbed the peace and quiet and became very annoying. Breakfast very disappointing - dried up cooked food. Was not good value for money and regretted the choice of hotel.
Great location, great facilities, comfortable rooms
Very pricey - £45 for afternoon tea for two! Put us off eating there, which was the only negative thing
Friendly staff in purdeys restaurant
Outside of accommodation looked very disappointing with tatty net curtains giving building the look of a cheap motel. Poor parking needing to park a distance from room and no lift to first floor room a pain with suit cases
There was a rather loud individual in the Bar on saturday evening who repeatedly swore despite the presence of a younger family and an elederly couple. Staff chose to ignore him.
Pretty much everything
Fixtures and furnishings of the bedroom had a luxurious feel as did the bed linens however the bed itself did not have luxury feel . I appreciate that this however. Is subjective .
Rooms on the small side Staff nice and friendly
Everything, excellent facilities and superb location
The staff, the food
Parking is diabolical. Driving round in dark and rain trying to find a space, then too far from room so got soaked carrying our luggage.
the setting, the bed and room service
reception got the bill wrong and was overcharged which they had to rectify, some staff in bar and restaurant not very welcoming or helpful
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bed and room were very comfortable, ideal after a long day walking. Beautiful scenery with a number of directions to set off in depending on the type of walk you fancy.
The door to our bathroom didn't seem to shut properly. The holder for the shower head for tall people didnt hold but I worked around it fine. The room wasn't very soundproof so could hear next doors tv some of the time.
Staff were very helpful the spa was good and clean wainwrights was excellent with good food
Purdeys restaurant was over priced and the food was quite average
Kids in the spa and jacuzzi. Not what you want when u r having break from your own kids.
What a place nothing negative at all staff were great , best hotel we ever been ,will definitely be going back.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Good facilities in spa.
Lighting in grounds could be better at night. Very small observation which you may like to address. My husband is coeliac. No gluten free biscuits in bedroom.
The spa wasn't as luxurious as I would of hoped. There were a lot of children in it on a Friday lunch time just when I thought they would be at school. The pool area felt more like a leisure centre
Spa facilities and staff are great.
Rooms look bigger than in the pictures but when you are in this bit of the country you should not be hiding in your room
