We try and go that extra mile for our guests reflected in our 4 star silver rating and can provide all sorts of additional items for those celebrations through out the year. For full details and prices just get in touch and we will help you sort out your requests from Champagne, hand made chocolates, flowers , birthday cakes etc. We are also able to help arrange for popping the question and have been delighted to assist with quite a number of proposals over the years. Guests will have access to free Wifi, parking and the use of the gym& spa facilities at Choices Health Club gym & spa 5 mins drive away in Troutbeck Bridge so don't forget your swimming costume and towel! Of course there is also our superb award winning breakfasts with scrummy traditional full English plus vegetarian and vegan versions all locally sourced, continental, fruits and cereals and of course our famous special board selections. We offer private ensuite rooms with those little touches of luxury to make every stay with us extra special. We are bed and breakfast only with no kitchen facilities available to guests although there are tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms.
Hi there, we are Ann-Marie and Paul Slater and we run Langdale View Guest House in Bowness-on-Windermere in the beautiful Lake District National Park in North West England. We like socialising, a good laugh, food & drink and enjoy taking our dogs Hugo and Felix on walks. We decided to move to Bowness as we always seemed to spend our time here and across the Lake District whenever we could. Both of us are keen walkers and like to get out and about whenever we can. Between us we think we have walked just about every peak in the National Park and Hugo and Felix our dogs are seasoned hill walkers in their own right. Ann-Marie is a keen gardener and has won Gold in the Guest House category, Windermere in Bloom, for the last 3 years. Our hanging baskets are famous! Paul loves fishing and can be tempted into discussing various catches when he emerges out of the kitchen after breakfast service. We absolutely love living in this spectacularly beautiful part of England and we look forward to sharing it with you during your stay with us.
Bowness-on-Windermere is a beautiful part of the Lake Disrict National Park. We have lots of great quality restaurants and bars within 5 - 10 mins walk from the house. There are also great transport links to the rest of the Lakes and the country with the railway station 2 miles away in Windermere village and the M6 motorway only 20 mins drive away. We are happy to talk to any of our guests about planning their stay whilst they are here. We are available most of the time for a chat or enquiry. There is literally loads of things to do and see here and one way to prepare is to do a little research on the area perhaps using Google, GoLakes or Cumbrian Tourism websites.
