I had e.mailed prior to our arrival, to ask if our daughter could get ready for her wedding in our room, and the receptionist told me she had put us in the bridal suite, as she thought she would be more comfortable in there. The staff were all very kind and helpful.
The doors and Windows didn't fit very well, so they banged all night.
Lovely English breakfast and friendly and helpful staff
We did not like the fact that it was 23 degrees outside and the heating was full on and we could not open the window in our room more than about 2cm!! We could not sleep as the bed was so narrow and it was hot! hot! hot!
Location was good and staff were friendly
It's a bit run oden, old carpets and showers
the cleanliness value for money and location
Room location by lift disturbed sleep
small room - basic - high cost
The Staff The Bar & Lounge Area Breakfast Parking outside the Hotel (Parking is a problem throughout Brighton and Hove)
Our room was OK but tired. It had all we needed i.e was well equipped but the decor was tired and in need of painting. The room and bathroom were very clean
Bed & bathroom were ok, lobby is very nice with a pool table, bar etc.
My room was on the top of the house, the window was so thin the wind was rattling on my whole window and the rain came in through the cracks of the window. During a storm it was SO loud in the room with closed windows I couldn't possibly sleep. WiFi didn't work in my room, probably because it was too high up. I payed for WiFi though :(.,
Location and my room was in a quiet part of the hotel I did ask for a quiet room
When a member of our party double booked a room by mistake ,as we were there for the funeral of our brother and were very upset the staff were not interested and refused to refund any money, they even charged more for the room ,won't stay there again.
Very friendly and helpful staff.. very comfortable bed and pillows [ the only hotel I have stayed in during recent years with comfortable pillows!!} The cleanliness was excellent, as were the breakfasts.. I thought it was fabulous value for money, and I intend to visit again. Many thanks to all the staff.
the bed was a bit lumpy
Good value hotel, if you want fresh carpets modern decor you will pay three times the amount, it could do with a fresh coat of paint & new carpets though but it's a value hotel
Can't say there is anything really you can complain about
The Romanian front desk clerk
Old, outdated, expensive
Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good. Clean and tidy. Roomy reception and bar area.
Shower not very efficient. No dinner available even though a restaurant is advertised. Slightly misleading. Quite hot in the room.
When we arrived the receptionist told us she had put us in the bridal suite, because I had e.mailed her to ask if our daughter could get ready for her wedding. She thought she would like to get ready in a larger room. I thought that was very thoughtful of her.
The windows rattled a bit in the night, but then it is an old building.
Location, staff and comfortable enough !
The rain shower head was broken in the bathroom & flooded the floor - not what I expected for the money !
The hotel was very welcoming and clean. The parking was adequate. Staff were friendly aswell
Comfort of the bed.
The room was spacious and we both had double beds which was nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had a problem with the shower mixer tap, but this was easily solved.
A Great Breakfast
The bed was one of the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in! and the room was very bland but clean!
Location and value for money.
Staff helpful, sofas in reception very comfortable, bedroom quiet and spacious, liked location.
Only downside was too hot, even with windows open (not helped by exceptionally warm October)
Excellent staff, very helpful
Some beds are a bit uncomfortable and would need to be upgraded.
Not a lot other than the price
The bathroom had mould, there were damp marks on the ceiling, the sheets were torn. Had to ask for an extra quilt Will not be returning
very suitable for a weekend break
Very nice friendly staff made our stay very pleasant. Comfy beds! Large room. Value for money. Excellent free wifi. Tea and coffee in the room.
Tiny bathroom! No lift but staff very happy to help with luggage. Perfect if you have no physical ailments.
