I liked that the receptionist was friendly and accommodating and I enjoyed the way the drawers felt when you opened them, also the ship paintings. I was sad that we were too rubbish to understand radiators so the room was icy cold until the receptionist came to help by taming the radiator and giving more blankets!

My friend and I booked a twin room but were upgraded to family room, which was great for us. Beds were clean and comfortable. Good service from very pleasant and helpful staff. Reasonably priced breakfast and dinner available too. Excellent location for visiting Brighton and surrounding area. Hotel is located on a quiet road but only minutes to the seafront for a 30-40 minute stroll into Brighton. Hove station (20 mins). Good bus services nearby if you don't fancy walking. We had a great time and would definitely book this hotel again. Lift was not working and no offer to carry luggage to room on 2nd floor. Stair carpets need replacing. Some breakfast items kept hot too long. Eggs not freshly cooked/hard, but staff replaced on request.

I like the location. The staff was responsive in resolving a problem that arose during my stay. Mattress quality could be better... I felt the springs. Use of comforters is outdated..could be an issue if you have allergies. Bedroom was cold. Although the sheets were clean and crisp, the blankets were old and made them look dirty (perhaps they weren't), but I didn't feel inspired to use them.

Parking is a nightmare as you pay £6 per day to park on the street and then get a ticket if you do not complete the form correctly - and the hotel staff do not help you!

The hotell staff were pleasant and parking outside the hotel was cheap being only £4 for a whole day. The hotel is around a half an hour walk from Brighton Pier and the shopping centre. The room that we stayed in was quite outdated and had a strange sort of smell about it. The bed wasn't very comfortable and we were kept awake all night by a group of guys out on stag which seemed to be overlooked by the hotel staff. If you are looking for a hotel close to the pier and centr of Brighton for a good price I wouldn't reccommend this hotel.

The parking facilities. Security. Staff. House keeping entered without knocking whilst we were still sleeping. Were told late checkout would be fine but shortly after, informed that it was no longer an option. Staff weren't particularly helpful.

It was well situated for the sea front and the town amenities. The room was clean. The receptionist did not explain the car parking tickets very well and when we made a mistake she was very rude and we had to purchase another ticket at £4.50 each. Althought the guest information book said £4.00 when I brought this up they said it was old information as the parking had gone up recently. this experience has rather put me off using this hotel again.

I was looking for a budget hotel in Brighton/Hove and thats what I got. The staircases were vety tired, carpets torn and patched and autpmatic lighting hit and miss. An elderly or disabled person could have been at risk.

We had two rooms, one of them was great Second room smelt of damp. When we complained they stated the manager would come and look but never did. First room was twice as big as second, too random. Also chef went missing Sunday afternoon so no food.

Location - Close enough for Brighton (Also a fantastic Tapas around the corner!) Breakfast was ok too! Not good! - Settled in the room whichwas a nice size and seemingly quiet until a group of lads were put into the room above, who then decided to make some atempt to come thru the ceiling!! They thought they were on an 18-30's !!! (There was a function of some kind at the hotel) Went to reception to say something and decided to ask for another room. Which after 10 mins someone came to our room and told us they will try and find something for us, which they did, that was much smaller, no bath, Small uncomfortable bed and we later realised that it was above the function room that was loud and noisey! So not a great expierence and will stick to Premier Inn/Travelodge in future! At least you get your money back if you dont have a good nights sleep!

The only problem with the hotel was the car parking situation. It's fine to have to park on the main road, but I would have expected not to have to pay for that. The fact that parking charges apply from 9 till 8 caused inconvenience in order to ensure that a parking fine was not placed on my car. This alone is enough for me not to want to stay at the hotel again. I would only recommend the hotel to travellers who were using public transport for this reason.

Not much... This hotel is at the cheaper end of the scale in Brighton and looks i. The room was clean but tatty and dated. Shower was freezing cold as was the room despite the heating being on full. Given the distance from the centre of town and the cost in Taxi rides it would have been cheaper to stay at the Jurys or similar int eh centre. Avoid.
