Location Breakfast Staff
insufficient towels dirty walls very noisey
Good location on a quiet road close to the sea front. V. good breakfast. A pleasant garden at the back of the hotel.
Good value for money clean bathroom
Location was about 25 min walk to the pier so not great but again was cheap so fair
disturbed night's sleep.
Pleasant efficient staff. 24 hour reception service , good location near to the main coast road and convenience for numerous bus services.
The absence of a lift and member of staff to help with getting luggage to and from bedroom which would have been beneficial as I am recovering from serious illness.
- wi fi is now very good, even on top floor - friendly staff
- bed quite uncomfortable - cleaning staff were noisy in the morning, banging around outside room
The location was good for me. The bed was comfortable and there was free wi-fi connection.
The hotel as a whole is very tired and desperately in need of a make-over! Everything in my room was well worn and needed replacing. The bathroom had mould in, the towels were thin, the windows were in a bad state. A good place for students but not for me and certainly not at that price!
The staff were excellent and the breakfast was most enjoyable
The hotel was in desperate need of soom maintenance this let the place down
Lovely staff, great sized room & parking passes available. Thank you for a great stay.
Around a 30-40 minute walk to the Lanes but otherwise great!
Neil was awesome. Very personable & went out of his way to make us our stay comfortable & enjoyable. Thanks for all of your help. Good breakfast. Clean room.
Some staff were standoffish. One night the noise level was way too high. Needed face cloths in the bathroom.
location, cleanliness, helpful staff,comfort
steps to lift,
Beds have seen better days
Pleasant staff. Good breakfast.
Dated and grubby, the tiny shower had cracked tiles, mildew and mould. Lift not working.
Breakfast was ok
Our room was on the top floo, and there was no lift. For the price the room was small and it smelled of smoke in the passage way
Breakfast was top quality! Rooms were good size and comfortable! Staff very friendly and helpful!
Have to buy permits for parking
Very comfortable bed with nice clean white sheets. Nice reception/lounge/bar area. Would go back to the Langfords as I believe you only get what you pay for and we both enjoyed our stay there.
Hotel bar is far to expensive £6.50 for a large glass of wine. Decor definently needs updating but our room was perfectly clean.
Friendliness of staff
Damp patches in room and bathroom, overpriced alcoholic drinks
Asked for quiet room - seagulls, smokers below window (which was broken and didn't close despite a sign asking guests to ensure windows were closed to prevent seagulls entering room!), loudest extraction fan similar to sitting next to jet engine. Had to wait as room not ready at time allocated (waited two hours) went up to room (several flights of stairs as no lift) to find room still as last occupant had left it. Was asked to wait downstairs another hour - carried everything back downstairs. Parking fees apply. Breakfast was inedible - not exaggeration. I would not recommend and ask Booking.com to look at thee advertising as misrepresents the reality - which is a very very large hotel with very poor service
Overall good efficient service, clean and by and large well kept.
Minute size of bathroom inside bedroom - not enough space to move around let alone dry after shower. small hand-basin very close to toilet, leaving hardly room to use the loo!
Good location near sea in Hove. Large twin room overlooking garden. 24 hr reception.
The twin room bathroom had a terrible smell in it which was nauseating & didn't fade. It was really unpleasant. We asked for rooms close by & the single room was on a different floor in a different part of the hotel from the twin room. Tiny single room , pathetic shower pressure. The hotel was very enclosed with long dull corridors & needed a facelift as it was shabby. It was very stuffy & airless. We arrived back late as we had been helping with a flat moving day -reception told us breakfast was till 9.30 so we went down next morning just before 9am to find most of the food gone as it was only served till 9 !! We were doing bed & breakfast so very disappointing...... Mis - information over car parking as there were no guaranteed spaces.
Room was very tired looking.very plain.needs a major make over
Very clean and comfotrable; quiet location.
£72.50 per night.without breakfast was a bit steep
Staff appeared 'not bothered' with guests. Had to repeatedly ask for normal essentials at breakfast. Bathroom (or cupboard!) only just clean. No hair dryers available. A lot of money for a poor room and service.
take care when parking, staff not good at explaining, ended up with parking fine as not clear where permit and/or pay and display
