Friendly staff. Great location
Hotel looks and feels abit dated. Night sleep was interrupted by seagull and pigeon noise/nest and occasional shouts/laughing from group of lads at 3/4am
Great price for a two-day Doyle for two people in under a hundred pounds.
Big rooms, clean bathroom, great location, clean bed sheets
We had a complaint which we tried to resolve in the hotel and were told we would be contacted by head office. We were not, since then I have written 4 emails and not one has been responded to, which is funny as the day before the stay we emailed the hotel and they replied with in an hour!! Rooms were a little dirty could have been hovered. Take your money and don't care about customers, shite customer service!!!
The heating would not turn off and set my illness off
Quiet location, comfortable room and friendly staff.
The staff are very friendly offering deals if we return and telling us the local activities for the weekend! The room was spacious and clean.
The room needed redecorating as it was old, worn and shabby. The shower made the whole room wet even when I tried to reposition it. The lights were dim and the tv kept loosing signal. There wasn't any wifi and we were not made aware before our stay that the breakfast times were changed because of the half marathon until we were at the front desk.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Staying slightly further away meant I got to see restaurants and shops I would normally.
The communal areas were fine but the hotel rooms really do need to be updated.
The Staff were very Accommodating, the Manager Bruno was very friendly and Helpful as it was our first time in Brighton and he even took time out of his own schedule to show us around a little! He drew out on a map all the hotspots to our taste. And was very nice to upgrade us for a couple of days! He made our Stay very Pleasant and personable :) we will definitely return for a visit.
The staff were very helpful
The shower in my room was only 3 foot high. Not helpful when you're taller than this.
very close to my daughters flat,so very convenient for us.
In the morning my wife went to have a shower, dirty black mud came out of the shower, them the water stopped completely. despite 3 phone calls to the hotel ,each time promised that the manager would get back to me,not a single call nor a reply from my e-mail to the hotel, very disappointed, because of the closeness of this hotel to my daughters address we would have used the hotel on a regular basis.
The room and parts of the hotel need some care and attention but it was very clean, crisp sheets, soft towels and breakfast was lovely!
Carpet had a few burns and the room really needed a coat of paint.
Myself and my family have stayed at Langfords Hotel for many years. We have always travelled to Brighton by train and have usually had a good experience here. I have previously recommended this hotel to family and friends.
Unfortunately the recent stay at Langfords was not pleasant. We travelled by car on this occasion and were not told about the possibility of the car being clamped. To be fair, the girl on the desk when we arrived was clearly stressed and did not mention the need for parking permits until morning. By 8.30am the car had been clamped, costing £260 to have this removed. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Although they had not told us this on arrival they were not even prepared to waver the £8 parking permit charge. With the custom of family and friends I would imagine the hotel receive have received a significant amount of business from us over the years and unfortunately this marks the end of our stays here, in this otherwise pleasant and previously recommended hotel.
The bedroom Classic decorations and style.
The bathroom could be renewed.
Like a bad care home with surly staff
The location was excellent, very near the sea front and very quiet at night. Parking facilities directly outside the hotel were very convenient. Bar staff were friendly.
tired bathroom. uncomfortable bed. tired bedroom.
When you're planning on arriving late, going straight out and coming home late, all you really want is a clean, comfortable room, in a useful location. Langfords ticks all of those boxes, plus - they are reasonably priced and the staff were lovely. Would recommend for a no frills hotel, that's not a Youth Hostel or B&B. almost forgot - arrived Friday night, parked outside the hotel for free til 9am Saturday morning. Hotel provides parking passes for £7.
BREAKFAST AND LOCATION.
SHOWER NOT COMPLETELY CLEAN. OUT DATED VERY MUCH.
Room v basic headboards removed carpet frayed furniture cheap and tacky For the money we paid £100 per night room only it was disgusting. The bar doesn't even serve drinks until the evening Would not recommend at all.
Comfortable beds. Cleanliness of the bedding
Walking up 6 flights of stairs to our room. Not enough pillows. Staff pleasant
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was awful certainly not worth the nearly £10 a head extra. We had to ask for bowls and plates for food and glasses to put drinks into and food was very poor quality, and trays empty so had to ask for eggs then bacon etc only sausage edible
All staff were foreign
Bathroom smelly Lounge and bar area was cold
The comfort and cleanliness of the beds, and the shower was excellent.
The attic room was a bit sparse and draughty, and there was a strong smell of air freshener or similar on my first night.
Close to the beach road.
Very expensive budget hotel, dirty & grubby rooms in need of complete refurbishment, bathrooms are really badly decorated with mould growing and showers that are no more than a dribble. My room stank of cigarette smoke the plumbing was hopeless and the bed was really uncomfortable. This place is a really run down dodgy hotel that should not be sold as three stars or anything more than one! Breakfast ran out at 9.15am it then took 20 minutes to arrive only to have raw tomatoes & cold bacon! Please do not stay here you will be very disappointed.
Didnt really like anything
Well alot of us were family, that traveled from Ireland to attend a family funeral, and we all stayed at the hotel.but on our first night there it was dreadful, as we all came back after being with the family of the deceased, we were meet bye a female staff member that was very rude, we were looking to have some drink and all catch up together in the lobby, when the staff member said that she has no spirits to drink as she has no key for the drink cabinet , that she was on her own , and she was very rude about it.and then the member of staff was fast asleep behind the deck, when I went over to ask were I could go to have a smoke, they werw very rude people, for a hotel.I've being to alot of hotel's but this is the first time I have experience anything like this before, we stayed there 2 night's...were due back over in a month's time but I think we will be staying somewe're else..really bad.
