the service at breakfast was really poor, tables not cleared no where to sit, staff not helpfull
Staff member on arrival was reasonably welcoming and helpful. My bedroom was good. Bathroom small but shower excellent.
Staff member that evening and morning was not helpful. Breakfast was very poor, service limited and the room poor and cramped.
+ Friendly staff who were really accomodating. + Single room inc. 3/4 bed. + Fantastic ensuite + Well equipped in compact space; Strong Free WiFi; Flat-screen TV; Tea & coffee. + Central location
- Reception desk was not manned when I came to check out. - Basement room.
location, easy to find, lovely clean rooms
it was too hot, all radiators were pumping and the windows were wide over.
Room layout Stairs (dangerous) No luggage room Staff not accommodating Breakfast room under accommodated
Good location and very smartly done up. Staff helpful and a very good breakfast served very promptly/ Good television .and comfortable bed.
Traffic noise took a bit of getting used to so slept badly first night. The single rooms were very small with little room to move and not much room for possessions.
We like the Bloomsbury area. Have stayed in the area before. Good selection of resturants.
If you can not do stairs make sure you request room on lower floors.
Not as clean as we would like
-very small room ca 90 sq ft -no value for money, far too expensive -could not sleep as room versus main road -had to leave early and change hotel, was so poor i could not stay any longer - wifi did not workh
The hot basement room with no air conditioning
The only thing I liked about the hotel is its location.
- Single bedroom is very small. Room size is not shown in website. - No table to put luggage on. - No wardrobe available. - No tissue box!!!!
Top location, coventient free wifi (when it worked), nice staff, effective A/C (when it worked), good size safe in room.
No lift, quite expensive, narrow breakfast room, no hooks in bathroom, clothes from previous guests left in cupboard, breakfast only until 09:00, wifi fell out several times, lasting for hours at most, A/C not reliable, no refridgerator or mini bar in room.
Location was where we wanted to be
Double room but small bed Breakfast was like fast food restaurant before you had had cereal etc cooked breakfast was there so goes cold
a room the size of a cupboard and a fairly high price!
One of the rooms were too small, I also didnt like the breakfast room. Nobody helped with the luggages. the money i paid was too much for this hotel.
Location is good
Location, bathroom was better than the rest of the room
Not clean, tiny rooms and badly built building
the shower was fantastic and very clean as were towels etc receptionist was very friendly
no one had cleaned under the bed which was also very narrow
I loved that they offered the option to leave my bag while I went sightseeing for the day after I checked out. Breakfast was great, the room was clean, tidy, small but had everything I needed. Definitely value for my money
Nothing really. All was good.
Unfortunately there is little to recommend this hotel. It is house in grade 2 listed building but there are few remaining period features. The breakfast room staff were pleasant.
I am a frequent traveller to different parts of the world and this is only the second time I have felt so strongly about a poor experience. The house does not have a lift, difficult for guests with young children or mobility limitations. The room I was allocated appeared to be one of the subdivisions of a bigger room-very small, it is presented as a double room. You would need considerable gymnastics skills to access the bed.The walls and carpet were dirty with stains and a nasty smell, the room was not cleaned from previous day. The windows are difficult to open and close, loud traffic noise throughout the night. There is nowhere to sit in the room other than climb onto the bed. The large television is hung from the side of the wardrobe almost on top of the bed, you have to strain your neck backwards to watch it. My stay was a very poor, uncomfortable experience. I did not find it value for money.
Street noise, bad window isolation Room is 4-5 square metrrs
It was clean, although the window dressings needed attention, the breakfast was lovely, it was value for money so perhaps shouldn t complain
the rooms were teeny tiny..........it was very noisy with the traffic during the night
Location was great, was within walking distance of the train station and my conference. Free wi-fi was also an added bonus
Black carpets looked dirty - dead flies dotted about. Bathroom had hairs in the drain. Generally didn't feel like a clean room. Was placed on the top floor which was very hot meaning I didn't sleep much
